I was a good Stockbridge friend of Jim, and just found out he passed. I´m so sorry for your loss, and so many memories over the years.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I am sure Jim is in Heaven building a beautiful stone wall.

I posted a memory but don't see ithere so am posting again. Back when Jim owned the shelburne Greenhouse, I bought an azealea plant there. It has to be at least 45 years ago. People said it wouldn't over winter and I would be sorry. I has grownhuge! It thrives where I planted it and I think of Jim and that greenhouse every spring when it bursts into bloom.

The people of Shelburne and those of us who were Jimmy's farming neighbors in the Foxtown neighborhood of South Shelburne, in particular, are greatly diminished by his loss. He often did "give the shirt off his back" as many of us who were beneficiaries of his generosity and help can attest. He had a great spirit, and he will be sorely missed. My wife and I send our sincerest condolences to his family.
