Robert Blakley Obituary

Robert "Don" Blakley, age 91 of Memphis, TN passed away on April 12th,2025. Don was born July 12th, 1933 in Fairfield, TX to Carmel Ray and Ottie Geraldine. Don was a Navy man and avid hunter/fisherman in his earlier years. He loved flowers,car races and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a passionate business owner of Mid-South Generator in Memphis for 50+ years. No matter what he was always busy and working as long as he could and even after,on occasion. He loved his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Geraldine "Jerri" Blakley, Brother Billy Blakley, Daughter- Vickie Grannon, and great granddaughter-Riley Lynn. He is survived by his Sister-Jeannie Robinson of Fairfield,TX,Son- Robert "Bobby"Blakley (Maureen) of Omaha, NE, Cynthia Galloway of Memphis,TN, Son-in-law, Tim Grannon of Memphis, TN, along with 9 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
