Sheila Potts Obituary

Sheila is survived by her husband, John Schoolar Potts and her three children: Suzanne Scobey of Germantown, TN (Eugene); Stephanie Cape of Jackson, TN (Richard) and Stacey Park of Germantown, TN (Ashley). Sheila is the doting grandmother to eight beloved grandchildren: John and Justin Scobey, Courtney, Hays and Harrison Cape, and Ashley, Aubrey and Andrew Park. Sheila is also survived by her siblings Brenda Roberts of Bartlett, TN; Kay West of Lakeland, TN (Jim); Johnny Renfro of Gore Springs, MS (Karen) and Mike Renfro of Oakland, TN (Laurie). Sheila was preceded in death by her loving parents Frances and Sidney Renfro of Enid, MS. Sheila was born on December 2, 1938 in Memphis. She was the oldest of five siblings. She graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart, John, and they were happily married for 68 years until her death. Sheila was a strong Christian, a devoted and loving wife and mother and a successful business owner for over 20 years. Sheila and John were faithful members of Bellevue Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, cooking, sewing and caring for her family and friends. Sheila was the one everyone called when they needed a listening ear or a cheerleader. She was everyone's trusted confidant, and we all waited our turn in the phone line up to have our time with her. Even at her store, The Crazy Quilt, customers would come in as much to talk to her, as they would to shop! Everyone loved Sheila! Even the family pets adored her! Sheila will always be remembered as a gracious and precious soul who gave tirelessly without ceasing, making our world a better place! She was a very hard worker who gave her all in everything she did! Heaven has gained a most prized angel, as we have lost one. Fly high sweet Mother and continue to spread your love! You will be so missed.. We love and adore you and will remember all that you have taught us. Always, always standing in awe of you.. Until we meet again.
