Donald Pirtle Obituary
Donald "Don" Pirtle was born on November 15, 1969, to the late Lavern Pirtle and Augustine Pirtle. He peacefully departed this life on May 31, 2025, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, surrounded by his loving wife, Carlotta Pirtle, and sister-in-law, Pam.
Don was educated in the Memphis City School System and graduated from Northside High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He later earned his Class A Commercial Driver's License and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a professional truck driver.
A devoted and loving father, Don extended his care and support not only to his children but also as a grandfather, brother, uncle, son, husband, and loyal friend. Known for his fun-loving personality, Don was a proud Colts fan and had a passion for working on cars. His hands were rarely still, and his heart was always open to those around him.
Don accepted Christ at an early age, and his faith remained a guiding force throughout his life. He shared over 34 years of love and companionship with Carlotta Pirtle, with whom he was united in marriage for the last five years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lavern Pirtle; his daughter, who passed at birth; and his sister, Angela Pirtle.
Donald leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Carlotta Pirtle; his beloved children, Kiara and Donterrio Pirtle; and one precious grandson. He is also survived by his mother, Augustine Pirtle; his siblings, Kathaleen Champion, Melvin "Ricky" Pirtle, Rita Pirtle, Darren (Alise) Pirtle, Gloria (Tony) Patton, and Barbara Pirtle; sisters-in-law, Pam Foster, Paula Holman, and Melissia (Tyrone) Hasselle; brothers-in-law, Willie Walker and Orienthal Walker; father-in-law, Reverend Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and unwavering love.
Don's legacy is one of faith, family, and the kind of strength that comes from a life well-lived and deeply loved. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
