Billy Jordan Obituary

Billy Jordan, 63, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025. Billy was born on July 23, 1961, in Honokaa, Hawaii. He was very proud of his Hawaiian heritage and always dreamed of going back again one day. He often reminisced on his family back "home" and that one summer visit where he overindulged in so many of his favorite dishes while visiting that he returned home unrecognizable. Billy graduated in 1979 from Millington High School in Millington, TN, where he played on the high school baseball team. Afterwards, he attended the William R Moore School of Technology for Air Conditioning, where he began his career working in heating and air. He worked for many years serving those in Western Tennessee at places including The Peabody Memphis and Jordan Heating and Air. He retired in the Spring of 2024 after many years of hard work. Billy enjoyed rock music, wrestling (Jerry Lawler was his favorite and he often did the "Kings Strut" and referred to himself as "The King" as well), Fox News, football, and cutting the grass with his zero-turn mower, often making the lawn look like a golf course. He was a great cook and made the best garlic shrimp and soy chicken, but his most beloved dish was Hot Portuguese Sausage with steamed rice. You never knew when you might catch him busting out a dance move, always keeping us on our toes with what he might say or do next. Billy had an unforgettable sense of humor that could light up any room and a kindness that made everyone feel welcome. His quick wit kept family and friends laughing, and his generosity showed in countless small acts of care, whether it was a quick interaction of just passing you in the street, fixing something that was broken, or simply offering the shirt off his back. He had a way of making ordinary moments special, and his laughter and warmth will be dearly missed. Billy is survived by his mother, Dorothy Jordan, and three children, Julianna Marcus (Alan), Bradley Jordan (Jenna), and Marissa Jordan. His grandchildren include Faron, Burke, Hudson, and two grandchildren expected late this Summer. He is also survived by sisters Cheryl Smith (Farrell) and Charlene Rodriquez (Russell), brothers Dale Jordan (Denise) and Gary Jordan (Noni), several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and many great friends. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Bill Jordan, and brother, David Jordan (Christy). A Celebration of Life will be planned for early Fall to remember the kind and unique person Billy was to each of us.

I knew Billy since 2010. He always told me to get him some Portuguese sausage from Hawaii since I was traveling there for work.

I remember meeting Billy in Guam while my dad was stationed there. I have some really good memories. Billy was a good friend. So sorry for your loss.
