Ronald Gay Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie (RL)" Gay, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, in Bartlett, Tennessee. A lifelong resident of Memphis, Tennessee, Ronnie was born on May 16, 1952, to Mavis and Robert Gay.

Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose life was deeply rooted in family and community. He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Gay; his daughter, Jenna Lausterer; his son, Chris Gay; and his cherished grandsons, Jenson and Jonas Lausterer. He also leaves behind his brothers, Randy and Rick Gay. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mavis Gay.

Known for his genuine nature and unwavering respect for others, Ronnie touched the lives of many with his kindness and integrity. His presence brought warmth to every room he entered, and he carried himself with a quiet strength that earned the admiration of those around him.

Family meant everything to Ronnie. Whether spending time with loved ones or offering a helping hand when needed most, he lived each day with purpose and heart. His legacy will live on through the values he instilled in those closest to him.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Great Oaks Church of Christ, 3355 Brunswick Rd. Memphis, TN 38133.

"I´m a firm believer that when we lose someone close to us, like a father, they continue to live on through us and give us unbelievable strength. They´re so connected to us that they become a part of us." My thoughts & prayers go out to the entire family & friends. And, I will forever miss you Mr. Ronnie.
