Linda Bennett Obituary

With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Linda Kay Bennett, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Linda, of Ellendale, Tennessee, was born on September 4, 1945, and passed peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the age of 79, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at St. Bernards. Her life was a testament to the power of love and family. For 58 years, she shared a devoted and cherished marriage with her husband, James Bennett, a bond that enriched the lives of all who knew them. Her daughter, Allison Humphries of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and her grandchildren, Grant and Grace Humphries, were the center of her world, inheriting her boundless love and enduring spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Bessie Jenkins ; brothers Jerry and Larry Jenkins. Linda's warmth and kindness touched countless lives. Her radiant smile was infectious, lighting up every room she entered. Her strength and grace were evident throughout her life, particularly in her final days. We are incredibly grateful for the compassionate care provided by Patricia Childress, her caregiver, and Hope Home Hospice, which allowed her to remain comfortably in her home until shortly before her passing. Beyond her immediate family, Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will forever be treasured. Her memory will be cherished by many family members and friends who will profoundly miss her gentle presence and unwavering spirit. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the beautiful memories we hold dear. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Linda's memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Dear Jim and Allison,

Linda and I are in prayer for you as you go through this difficult time of loss of such a precious and lovely person.

Linda was always such a fun and caring person to be around with her outgoing ways and contagious laugh.

We thoroughly enjoyed having you and your family as fellow Christians, church members and neighbors.

God blessed us all with her life and though in her passing we all have lost an angel, Heaven has gained another one.

We will always remember her.

Our prayers and sincere condolences to you and your family.

In Christ,

Dale and Linda
