James Pearce Obituary
Richard was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 17, 1943, to James and Ernestine Pearce. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School. He was a journeyman with UA Steamfitters Local 614 and had different business interests throughout his career, including mechanical contracting, land development and commercial real estate. Richard also had interests in horses and cars throughout his life.
Richard's life was characterized by love for the Lord, his family, and his church, as well as generously giving to others in the community. His family will miss most his entrepreneurial spirit, witty humor, and funny stories.
A memorial service celebrating Richard's life will be held at The Lord's Chapel at Elmwood on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, with visitation at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held following the funeral at Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church Prison Ministry, 2000 Appling Road, Cordova, TN 38016.
