I didn´t know Sue, but I knew Charles.
Sorry you guys lost your Mon...and Dad.
We met Charles probably in the late 90´s. Three of us pulled up to I motors where he was security. He greeted us as we stopped. Introduced himself and we did too. Bernie, the guy sitting in the back seat was Mexican. Bernie was wearing a Padres hat. We are from San Diego. Charles spotted the cap and greeted Bernie with "well hello amigo". We all talked baseball for a solid 30 minutes. Charles grabbed a pencil and paper and proceeded to hand draw us a map of the area. Highlighting where we wee, where we were staying, what we need to check out, where to eat and pointed out the police station. Told us to stear clear of the PD. I still think of Charles and what a solid guy he was, how he treated us and how we looked forward to seeing him every day while our project lasted at I motors. He´s been an influence on my life and he is still spoke of. I´m 65 now and just last Friday we shared our Charles stories at our company Christmas party. Loved that guy!
