Andrew Scala Obituary
Hooksett, NH - Andrew ("Andy") Dominic Scala passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 74. He was a resident of Hooksett, NH, and a long-time resident of Bow, NH.
Andy was born on June 19, 1951, in Red Bank, NJ. A 1976 graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, he worked at the University of Chicago Medical Center's Burn Unit before moving to NH. After working at Concord Hospital's Emergency Department, Andy joined Concord Orthopaedics in 1988, specializing in spine care and surgery for over 20 years.
Andy is survived by his wife, Maureen of Hooksett, NH; and daughter, Courtney Scala Smith, son-in-law, Dr. Zachary Smith, and granddaughter, Isabella of Durham, NC.
A visitation will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, located at 209 N. Main St., Concord, NH, 03301, on December 30, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A chapel service will follow at the same venue on December 31, 2025, at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, Andy's family asks that you consider a memorial donation to The Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation (uveitis.org), an organization he cared deeply for.

Andy was more than a neighbor he was a true friend. From the moment Mike and I were young, new homeowners, Andy and Maureen took us under their wings with kindness, patience, and a willingness to help with anything we needed. Whether answering questions about raising our daughters, Melissa and Megan, or simply being there with steady support, Andy always made us feel cared for.
We treasure the many card nights shared with Andy, they were filled with laughter and easy conversation. One of our favorite memories will always be the Christmas when Andy surprised us all by dressing up as Santa Claus bringing joy, laughter, and his unmistakable warmth into our home.
Andy´s caring spirit, generosity, and friendship left a lasting mark on our lives. We are so grateful to have shared so many special moments with him, and he will always be remembered with love.
