Patricia Currier Obituary

Patricia May Currier

Hillsboro, NH - Patricia May Currier, 93, of Hillsboro, NH, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Hillsboro House Nursing Home. Born on March 5, 1932, in Exeter, NH, Pat was the daughter of the late Merrill and Lena (Nelson) Gray.

Pat grew up in Bethlehem, NH, graduating from Bethlehem High School in 1950. After high school, she attended the Concord Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1955. She then began her career in nursing at Concord Hospital. Working there for ten years, she then stayed home to raise her three children before continuing her love of nursing at the Hillsboro House Nursing Home. Her career there lasted for forty-three years before retiring at the age of 82. Pat would always say nursing kept her "young and healthy." Known for her compassionate care for all her patients, after retirement she would visit the Hillsboro House daily to engage with residents and deliver the weekly Messenger newspaper.

Pat was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, where she volunteered as a backup Sunday School teacher and worked on many church dinners, bake sales, and Christmas fairs. In her early years, she was active with the Rebekahs and the Eastern Star of Hillsboro. Committed to her community, Pat was always willing to lend a helping hand with rides to appointments or a shoulder to lean on. Pat was a true legend in the town of Hillsboro.

In her free time, she loved watching the Red Sox and Celtics and frequented many games. She loved spending time with her family and attended all her children's and granddaughter's school sporting events. Pat also found great joy in baking and cooking for her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her son, Donald Currier of Hillsboro, NH; daughter Brenda Angwin and husband Scott of Webster, NH; daughter Edith (Edie) W. Currier and longtime partner Ben Cochran of Contoocook, NH; granddaughter Cortney Patricia Rowe and husband Tristan of Newbury, NH; and great-granddaughter Briar Rowe; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband of 24 years, Donald Currier, and sister, Yvonne Doyer. Pat will be forever remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hillsboro House Nursing Home for all the love and care given to Pat during her stay. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Hillsboro Fire and Rescue Departments. Services will be held in the spring.

Services are under the care of the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home. www.holtwoodburyfh.com.
