Donnie, although it has been many years since we have seen eachother I still have very vivid memories of the adventures we would have when we would come visit at Winnepauket.
There was the time that we were fishing on the dock for sunfish and you made a cast that caught me in the head. Uncle Don rowed me and my Dad over around the corner to the cottage of a doctor. The doctor removed the embedded hook and sent us on our way.

RIP my cousin.

Don and I were great friends growing up in Warner. We lived only several houses apart on West Main Street and spent summers in adjacent camps on Lake Winnepauket in Webster where every day was free for an adventure. We always enjoyed each other´s company, and it was a sad day when he left for the Navy. While we saw each other much less in later years since we lived in different places, it was always great fun to connect with Don at the FFF, the lake or walking Main Street in Warner. There are few friendships quite like the ones that begin at your earliest memories and then last a lifetime. Don, yours was a life well lived!

My condolences to Don´s family, who I did not know well except, of course, for his sister Carol who I also grew up with. If anybody has embodied Warner through multiple generations, it has to be Carol, still living in the same house and across the street from the "twins."

Regret that I will be in Texas on the day of Don´s funeral but my thoughts will be with you.
