Gary Thompson Obituary
West Dover, VT - Gary Maurice Thompson, 66, of West Dover, Vt., died December 26, 2025 at St. Vincent's Hosp., Bridgeport, Conn.
Born in Greenfield, Ma., April 30, 1959 to Shirley (Newhall) Thompson and Gerald J. Thompson . He leaves his mother of Northfield, Mass., a brother, Jeffrey A. Thompson of Easthampton, several relatives and many friends in the W. Dover area. He was pre deceased by his father.
Gary was educated in Northfield schools and Franklin County Tech. School majoring in arts and photography, and enjoyed playing his guitar with his friends.
He was a ski instructor at Mt. Snow resort in W. Dover, Vt., for several years and was liked for his friendliness and helping skiers with the lifts. He also worked at Merrillat Cabinets in So. Deerfield, Ma., and Miller Construction in Greenfield, Ma., and was a house painter in his area for many years at the time of his death.
There will be a graveside service on April 30, 2026 , at 1:30 at Pentecost Cemetery in Northfield, Mass.
Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave., Northfield, Mass is assisting the family with arrangements.
