Scott Dubreuil Obituary

Scott Dubreuil

Goshen, NH - Scott Donald Dubreuil, 57, of Goshen, NH passed away after a long illness at the Jack Byrne Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Dartmouth in Lebanon, NH. Scott is remembered by his family and friends for his passion for fishing. He was an avid fisherman, an art he had worked to master all his life, and only rarely was he found without his tackle box and pole. So many of us have fond memories of great fishing experiences with Scott…and a few tall tales too.

Scott leaves behind a significant other of 17 years, Christine Rafferty of Goshen, NH. Four children: Cassandra M. Dubreuil of Phoenix, AZ; Kristopher S. Dubreuil of Greeley, CO; Harley E. Dubreuil of Wesley Chapel, FL; and Nicholas D. Dubreuil of Claremont, NH as well as two grandchildren: Leon D. Vigil and Luke J. Vigil of Wesley Chapel, FL.

He was pre-deceased by his mother, Brenda J. Cormier of Rochester, NH and his sister Kathy L. Smith of Windsor, VT.

Family survivors include his stepfather, Edward J. Cormier of Rochester, NH; sisters and brothers-in-law Brian and Wendy Thibodeau of Dorchester, NH and Michael and Kim Paquette of Brunswick, VT and sisters Melony L. Peters of Roatán, Honduras and Shari A. Taft of Windsor, VT.

Scott would also want to make mention of his many nieces and nephews and Nancy L. Ruest of Claremont, NH, all of whom he adored and with whom he shared many of his life experiences.

As a final message to his family and friends, I feel he would like to share these excerpts from the poem, "Gone Fishing" by Dalmar Pepper:

"Don't worry or feel sad for me,

I'm fishing with the Master of the Sea,

We will miss each other for a while,

But one day you'll come and bring a smile,

So if others wonder why I'm missin',

Just tell 'em that I've gone fishin'."
