Paula Phaneuf Obituary

Paula Ann Phaneuf

Concord, NH - Paula Ann Phaneuf of Concord passed away on February 8th.

Paula was born in Revere, Massachusetts on December 3rd, 1966, the daughter of Paul and Gloria (Esposito) Griffin. She grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts where she made lifelong friendships and created some of the best memories that she so often enjoyed reflecting on. Paula moved to New Hampshire in 2004 and spent the past 17 years in the greater Concord area.

Amore was a special word to Paula. She stayed true to her Italian roots and loved her family and friends more than anything. She was loyal and fiercely protective. Paula's biggest light in her life was her son Chase. She was endlessly proud of him, always celebrating his accomplishments and standing beside him with unconditional love and support. Her heart only grew larger when she became "Nonna" to her grandchildren Hudson and Harlow. They brought her laughter, light, and purpose, and she treasured every moment with them. She was beaming when she saw how much her grandson loved to dance just like his Nonna did – even if it was to Baby Shark and not her 70's groove music.

Some of her favorite things were the beach, her brother and sister-in-law's camp on Burnt Meadow Pond, fireworks, campfires, sunsets, cooking, Boston sports (she knew more about sports than many men!) and Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Paula had an infectious laugh, and her presence would fill a room. She was the life of the party. If there was music, Paula was dancing; if there was a microphone, she was singing!

She is survived by her son Chase, daughter-in-law Emily, grandson Hudson, granddaughter Harlow and extended family BJ Phaneuf, Julie Phaneuf, Chuck Phaneuf, Shelly Bryson, and Shawn Jackson among many others from the Phaneuf and Griffin sides whom she adored, Carol Tondreau and Bruce Cameron who were bonus family members who came from the marriage of Chase and Emily, and lifelong friends Stephanie Jones, Anna Kelleher and Benae Taraskiewicz.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 20th from 9 to 10am at Christ the King/St. John's Parish, 72 South Main St. Concord.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am.

Loved ones are invited to a celebration of life afterwards at the Red Blazer in Concord.

My sweet cousin. I will forever miss our calls. Although we never saw much of each other in person, we would always just pick up where we left off. Never awkward, but always loved. I will miss you and you will forever be in my heart.

Paula was the first person I met when I moved to Emerald Lake, Hillsboro. She came over with a fan and a beer. Such a kind person. Rest easy my friend.

My beautiful friend, it seems like forever ago we met each other at 14 years old. Since that day, I have loved you, leaned on you laughed with you and dreamed with you. I will continue to love you and miss you dearly for the rest of my life. I look forward to the day when I see you. May God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again my friend Paula
