Dear Ned! So sorry to hear of your loss. I was your nursery school teacher at the Girl's Club in Greenfield approx 1964-1965. You were quite the busy boy then and your Mom was so wonderfully patient with you. I always liked the way she so endearingly spoke to you. Were you not blessed to have her as a mother! I have known Barbara Braff my whole life. She and Dick and my parents were the closest of lifelong friends, and even now she remains "Aunt Barbara". There are too many Greenfield memories at our home and theirs to write here, but I can never see the original Wizard of Oz without remembering that yearly event in the Braff den on Bernardston Road. Barbara prepared the meal (she was a terrific cook!), and we kids sat in the dark with tv tables absorbed by the munchkins and the wicked witch. I am sure Aunt Barb sang a few measures of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" too. Even later when I moved, I am thankful they made stops in Atlanta on their way to Florida and came to my own boys Bar Mitzvahs here too. We were also lucky enough to introduce them to our first granddaughter when visiting them in Florida. I know that my mom still spoke with her weekly, and she will miss those Wednesday calls. Barb and Dick will always be our Greenfield family. She is now with her beloved Dick. May her memory be a blessing.

Many years ago when I was a young girl I worked at Carl's Restaurant, Mr. and Mrs. Braff were frequent customers. It was always a joy to see them. Both laughing. Braff cleaners was one of the best businesses in Greenfield. I miss those Time. My condolences to their family. They were a wonderful couple.
