Katrina Hanrahan-Christy Obituary

Katrina Allison Hanrahan-Christy was born on June 4, 1977, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Robert and Vernua Hanrahan. From the very beginning, she carried a quiet strength and loving spirit that would define her life.

A proud native of Memphis, Katrina dedicated 25 years of committed service to the Memphis Police Department. Her dedication, professionalism, and integrity earned her the distinguished Civilian of the Year Award. She served her community with excellence and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on those who worked alongside her.

While her career was admirable, Katrina's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to Mary, Kaitlyn, Briana, Anthony, and Nikita. Her children were her heart, and she nurtured them with unwavering love, guidance, and strength.

Katrina was also a proud and loving grandmother. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy and happiness, and she cherished the special moments she shared with them.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Mary, Kaitlyn, Briana, Anthony, and Nikita; her cherished grandchildren, Maison, Shemar Jr., Leilani, and Natalie; her parents, Robert and Vernua Hanrahan; her brother, James Hanrahan; and her heavenly grandson, Makoa. She also leaves behind extended family members, her colleagues of the Memphis Police Department, and many dear friends whose lives she touched throughout her 48 years.

Though her earthly journey has come to a close, the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the legacy she built will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be on Friday March 6, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Canale Funeral Directors.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

I will forever remember sweet Katrina. She was a Student in my first Kindergarten class at Blessed Sacrament. I was new to the school just like all 28 students. Her smile that first day brought so much joy to us all. Sending you all my love and prayers during this very difficult time.
