They say time heals all wounds. I say whoever says that has truly not loved in their life.

Still after 14 years, there are not enough words to describe the pain of loosing you. You will forever be one of the best people I have ever known.

Your loss took a part of me to Heaven that day and no amount of time, no step in the grieving process will fill that void.

Yesterday, I tried to keep busy. I tried not to think of what all the day meant. Yesterday, was a day that still hurts.

No doubt we would have celebrated and shenanigans would have been guaranteed. Instead it marked another year in Heaven, another year I haven't heard your voice, your laugh, or seen that impeccable smile.

I love you and you will never be forgotten. SYOTOS.

I wish heaven wasn't so far away. This weekend we paid respect to your sacrifice. I don't believe the heartache will ever go away for those who knew you, loved you, and us proud few that served with you. We are honored to have served with you.

I love you so very much and wish I could hear your voice, see your smile, and recieve one of those specialty hugs. But, God had other plans. So for now we are here without you. We will continue to work to honor your name.

I often wonder if God didn't need a hero so soon, what life would look like today. Although it's been over a decade at times it seems like yesterday. The pain is still present and my heart still torn. But then there are time when it seems like forever since I last saw your face, caught a glimps of that amazing smile, last hugged you, or heard your laugh. I miss you and love you. Eight years ago today God took you from us. I miss your smiling face and the sound of your laughter. You had a special way of lighting up any room you were in. I miss my phone calls on Saturday afternoon while you were deployed. Some times on Saturdaay about 1:00 in the afternoon, I'll look up at the clock and think "it sure would be nice to get a call from you today". But as you know, you're too busy in heaven to call! Everyone who knew you misses you very much. We will meet up again! Then we'll all be smiling and laughing!

To the family of Norman K Synder: I meet Synder when we were about to leave to go to afghanistan. They sent us to Arkansas together for more training. I bunked with Synder when we first got there. Didnt talk to him much cause the night that we got there we all ordered pizza and I remember fighting with him cause he put his pizza on my bunk, which pizza sauce was everywhere. After that accident we had to work together for everything the rest of the time there. We learned so much about the other person that by time we were leaving we were the top team there. When we got to afghanistan we were in to different camps but when we could, we found each other for a laugh.. When i heard what happen my heart felt like it bust.. I will also miss Snyder he was the life of the party. I wear his bracelet to remember his life everyday and night it doesnt come off my wrist, and it never will.. I miss my battle so much.. what a great guy!!!

Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. I coached Kyle when he was a Freshman on the football team in Sullivan. I now live in Westfield. There is a memorial for each Hoosier who has sacrificed his/her life for our country, including Kyle. I will be talking to my football team on Tuesday before our summer workout about being brave and including Kyle in my speech. He and so many others are what make our country the very best. Thank you for serving Kyle.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

I greive with you and wish to offer something in your loss. Grace is a gift of hope, a future, a change, another chance. Your soldier's service is a grace for Afgahnistan and for us. None can fully measure your loss. But grace planted in the earth does not fail to produce. Seek it out while you wait for its comfort to return to you. This comfort, this hope belongs to you. And it can't be taken away.
