We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Jonathan F. Blair US Army Corporal.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

I had the honor of carrying Jonathan's placard today for the Indiana Fallen Heroes in the Lowell, IN Labor Day parade. Last year I noticed many placards were not being carried and I joined the group midway through the parade. I vowed to carry one this year. I feel this will be a tradition in our family now. My father lost is brother in Vietnam in 1971 and I feel every soldier should be honored for their sacrifice and courage. Thank you Cpl Jonathon F. Blair for our freedoms and your ultimate sacrifice. May you rest in peace.

Jon is my oldest brothe. I remember mr burns and mr edmonds from Elmhurst. But i dont remember ever meeting many of his friends including miss mills. I was thirteen when we got that call. Jon and i had different mothers but the same father. Its been almost twelve years to the day since he jas passed. I think about hom every day. I miss him.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

I had the honor of being a part of the funeral detail that performed CPL Blairs honors. I think of him often and in preparation for my third deployment I find myself thinking of him. Though I did not know him personally he was my Infantry brother and his loss will stay with me forever. God Bless your family.

In the past two weeks Jonathan touched my heart in away I can't explain. My Motherly side says why did God take this precious son from his Mother but, my Heavenly Father reminds me our children are gifts he has given to us. He also reminds me of the Cross and his precious Son. Jonathan's journey on earth was short but he made such an impact in his living and in his dying. He had a love for his family and his country that is not common today. He is truely a hero and he will be missed greatly.

I was Jon's platoon leader in OIF 1 and had the privilege of serving with him in garrision also. He is a great man and awesome soldier. We had the opportunity to meet John when he came to visit our son-in-law and daughter, Gideon and Leah Foster(Gideon is in the 101st also), who were staying with us a year or so ago. He seemed to be a very nice young man. My other two daughters, Abby and Anna, knew him from their visits to Ky. They were all hit hard by the news of your son's death. We have all cried because of your, and what we consider our, loss also. We are praying that God will comfort you in this situation; knowing that He will. Your son felt an obligation to serve and had the courage to follow through, and for that we are grateful.
Please pray for Gideon, as he is traveling to Iraq this week for his second tour also.

Vickie, you raised a wonderful son, an honor to any mother. Jonathan is a true hero. He helped protect us and gave others the hope of a better life. Our hearts are terribly broken, yet through our sorrow we are so honored to call Jonathan our nephew. This is a time to cast our burdens on the Lord, Jesus Christ, for He cares for us and He is the only way to peace and comfort right now.

Just wanted to say thanks. Being in the Army, it saddened me to learn that a fellow Soldier had fallen. Being an American, it made me proud that there are still men and women willing to sacrifice everything to keep us free and spread freedom through the world. Being a college student, it makes me stand straighter and taller- there are so many young people like CPL Blair who know what the price of liberty is.

To Teri and John,
This is just a short note to let you know that both of you and your family are in our hearts and prayers at this time. We are sorry that we can't be there for you but know you are loved. Teri, I remember our talks about Jonathan and I could always see the love you had for him in your face and voice. Know that Jonathan felt that love and is now enveloped in the greatest love of all- God's.

Jon, you are my hero. Hearing the news of your death ripped my heart in two. The tears keep falling, but I will never let our memories fade. You and I had some great times. You had my heart though I never told you. I will never forget the times at Franks house and those nights at Ihop. Nor will I ever forget the first night you were supposed to leave. I'm sure you won't either. I miss you Jon. To Jons family, I am so sorry for your loss. Jon touched alot of hearts and truly was a wonderful man. He will forever be in my heart.

I loved this little boy like he was my own and watched as he grew into a very positive young man. I am proud of Jon for his choices and very proud to call him my nephew. He never once let me down and became the kind of young man I hope the rest of my nephews can become. He was loving and kind, and could be very serious. And he could be very funny when he needed to be. Jon, now it is our "Achey Breaky Hearts" that are hurting. We are going to miss you terribly. Love always, Aunt Teri, Uncle Mike and Josh.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting you, I know you were a great guy. I know this because #1-I love your mother and she is wonderful. As a mother, I know she deserves a lot of credit for raising you to be the man you were. #2-You were willing to sacrifice your life for the American people. I am eternally grateful to you for this because that takes strength and determination. These are qualities that God does not give to everyone, and yet you had them. I am most thankful to you for protecting and keeping us safe.

You light up every department you walk into at work with, not only your smile, but your eyes that smile too. You continually touch so many lives at work each day and I can't help but think your son did the same thing to those that knew him.
