Eleven years since you left us. Not a day goes bye that we don't think of you and how much you meant to others. There is such a void here without you that can't be explained in words. It's just so sad, not having you around. Try and think of how things would be with you here and just can't. You were cheated and so were your loved ones. We will always keep you in our hearts because that is where you belong. Sorry buddy. Loved you from the start and will never stop loving you. Pops.

Adam - I come back again to your guestbook to read what people have to say about you & each time it brings me to smile and sends tears rushing down my face. It makes me happy to see how loved and appreciated you are, but it deeply hurts to know that I will never experience this again. My heart breaks every day for you, your family, your friends, your brothers fighting for what you so strongly believed in... There are so many times I want to just talk to you and I can't, and then I get angry, but I'm not even sure who to be mad at. I know that if you were still here so many things would be completely different. I don't think I will ever truely understand why you were taken away from us. I know in my heart that you are always around, taking care whether we know it or not. I wish there was some other way to talk to you besides in my prayers, my dreams, my everyday and KNOW that you could hear me. Keep watch over us all.. especially your family, I know they are going through some tough times. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS.

To Adam's family,
First of all I want to send my condolences to all of you in your loss of your son, brother, nephew etc. I met Adam's Grandfather Tony and Adam's Uncle Perry in Tacoma, Wa. when they received the Medal of Valor from The Elk's Club. I also received one for my son Casey at the same time. Was a pleasure to meet them and find out a bit about Adam. I read some of the comments he had from friends and relatives in his guest book and he sounds like a very nice young man. Sounds like wonderful work you are doing in Adam's honor with those still serving with your "Operation Bedding". I am involved with "Time of Remeberance" here in Wa. It can be a tough time for those who have lost a loved one but I know for myself, I try to stay involved with my son's friends and keep my faith.
Thank you for Adam's service to our country!
My prayers are with you all.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Adam, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Adam-
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. Words will never describe how much you are loved and missed not only by me, but by all. You are truly a hero, a friend. You're memory will go on forever because of the lasting impressions you left on people's hearts. Your family and friend's will never let you go. I love you. August 16, 2007

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

To Adam's parents,

I have lost children to divorce but I can still see them once in a while. I cannot imagine your pain-I only hope you can eventually get closure and peace. Adam is a brother even though I didn't know him. It is the meaning of Semper Fidelis-his squad and platoon mates always had his back. My thoughts and prayers are with you. this day.

Adam
My second Father's Day has come and gone since you left us. It is such a hollow feeling. Sometimes I just wish the day would not come at all. I miss you more than life itself. I will carry on cause that's what you would want. I love you.

Adam and family,
Hey Adam, i just want to let u know that i think about u everyday man. I wish i didnt have to wear your name on a bracelet and on the tattoo on my arm. I just wish that u were here by my side going back to Iraq with us again. Its been a little more than a year since your passing. I know that everyone that ever knew you is missing you every second. To the family of Adam. To Adam and his family,

Dear Adam,

You will NOT be forgotten. Your face and name will not diappear into the night with the news like the thousands of others who have sacrificed their lives. You will be remembered even though I didn't know you. You are still a brother.

Semper Fidelis,

It's been a year since our hearts were broken Adam. Every day you enter into my thoughts and my tears still flow so easily thinking about you. Your presence is certainly missed everywhere you were, whether with family, friends, or with your fellow Marines. I'm sure you know just how many lives you touched in so many ways.

You're in my prayers and thoughts every day. Miss you lots, Adoo.

Love,

Aunt Gail

You are still in our prayers & thoughts. Our son, Jordan Carney, thought of Adam not only as a brother-in-arms but as a true brother in blood. They became very good friends. They served together in Iraq. Jordan has Adam's name tattooed on his arm to honor Adam forever. God Bless you & your family.
