Jordan I wish I could have known earlier and been able to attend your service. I know you have been gone for a while now but I still think of you regularly. All the memories of "the crew" and staying in that little room behind your parents house in lake stevens. The nights I needed to sleep for work but you were in the mirror lifting weights with the lights on. :) Thank you to the Hess family for that and the opportunity to meet your son and family. Thank you Jordan for giving your life for ours. I love you bro! RIP Jordan.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised LE RON A. WILSON (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

You know, I know you're overwhelmed with sorrow, but rest assured that all of us who sign this guestbook, people known to you and not (I'm one of the nots) feel for you and know that you had a hero in your son. He will always be watching over you ... literally just a breath away. My beloved mom, Marge, just died on 11/26 (her obituary was in the Herald as well, on 12/7 and 8) and I'm suffering so very much. Yet, in seeing your story and moving obituary, of one so young, so full of life, and the wonderful article the Herald printed about him, I am moved to tears for your loss as well. They shared a plane ride together overseas and talked about the many things they had in common besides their name.
