Brandon, It has been over 5 years now and we unfortunatly never got the opportunity to meet. I am now your wifes not only bestfriend but now a sister and aunt to your beautiful fun loving Nicky for the past 4 years. I love your wife and son sooo much.Nicky looks soo much like you. I am one of many down here helping them with your loss. Your wife is such an amazing friend/ sister to me also and words can not express how much I love her and Nicky...she has been there for me and my son also.I know you are soo proud of them. I always tell Shannah how much I would of been one of your favorite friends and she laughs saying you are right. I feel like I know you after everything I have been through with your wife and son and can honestly say I miss you too. Don't worry I will continue to always be there for your most important people including your awesome and amazing mom who continues to amaze me with all the marathons she is running.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers
Soldiers write history…they pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever
Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away
Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go
We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light
Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray
Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

I met Shannah Parr in Germany while Brandon was Deployed to Iraq. When I met Brandon I instanly felt comfort, he reminded me so much of my brother Allan. I used to watch Brandon play with Nicky and hearing Nicky laugh the way he did was like saying "I have the best dad ever". I would see Shannah and Brandon together and the connection they had with eachother and it was truly amazing. I have never met such a wonderful family and I only pray that beyond the pain and disbelief, you will find peace in knowing Brandon touched people's hearts, not only because he was a good soldier, but because he was a good man.

I cannot express in words my deep sorrow at the untimely death of your son, Specialist Brandon Parr. All of the members of the 630th Military Police Company, past and present, share your grief and we offer both our sympathy and support.
It was truly my pleasure to serve as Brandon’s commander during his first tour in Iraq. His terrific attitude, sense of duty, and care for his fellow soldiers were always a relief for me in this unstable and arduous time of war.
Brandon devoted himself to his fellow platoon and company members, and he dedicated himself daily to performing his difficult duties with great honor. During this most recent tour he performed his duties under extraordinarily difficult circumstances with the same level of determination he exhibited from the day he first arrived in Iraq, nearly three years ago. While doing so, he paid the last full measure of devotion for his fellow soldiers and nation. For that, I am humbled and honored to have served with him.
At this difficult time we honor his life and service, grieve the loss of our friend and compatriot, and pray for all of you. May God grant your family peace as the Lord receives Brandon into His loving arms.

To the family and freinds of SGT Brandon Parr, I extend my deepest condolences. I was SGT Parr's Squad Leader for the first few months of OIF II in 04'. It was a pleasure getting to know him. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. I had the pleasure of serving with him during our first rotation in Iraq. I was his Platoon Sergeant during that time. He was always there when I needed him. We had very difficult missions that we had to do, and he was always there. He was a Soldier of Soldiers. Its very hard to deal with, because I was not there for him. I feel as if I lost my kid or brother.
