It's 6:40 a.m., and I just spent the whole night reading the beautiful comments left on your page. I would do anything to have you back. I don't know if there's a heaven or not, but I'm sure hoping there is so one day I'll be able to be reunited with you again. Raquel and I love you infinitely. You'll be glad to know she's my best friend now and we couldn't get along any better. While reading the comments, I went inside my drawer and pulled out the only picture I had of us 3, looking at it just made me sob. My tears were simultaneously that of sorrow, as well as joy. I miss you more than anything, but I couldn't be more grateful for having you as a brother, and Raquel as a sister. For that, I'll be forever appreciative of the life I live.

I can't believe it's been 5 years. I think about you every day. The kids see your pictures around the house and ask questions about you and I tell them that you are our cousin and that you always had a great big smile. I remember us climbing trees, playing tag, playing in the pool at Grandma's house, you were always so happy. I remember when you called me from Iraq & I think about what else I could have said or should have said and the truth is that I would give anything to have you back. Our family needs you, your friends need you, but most of all, your mom needs you. Please watch over everyone and always know that you are missed every singe day. Wow, I can't believe that you left us 5 years ago. How I miss you my dear son. I remember the huge hug when you were getting in the bus to Iraq in 3/2007. I miss you so much that heart aches as if you departed today. It's amazing how people forget love ones when they leave this earth. Hey Michael -
Right around this time, we would be planning a trip to go sking w/ the family. I am remembering that one time we got stuck and had to work hard at getting the car out, then we get inside the house and there was no water. We werenot happy. To top it all off, we had to visit the nearest hotel and ALL go use the restroon before heading back to the house....wow, memories. I miss your laugh, your silliness, but mist of all your thoughtfulness. You always invited me and made sure I was included in all the insanity. Definitely the lil bro I never had.
