While driving to Kansas, my wife and we came across the memorial Highway dedicated to Jeremy´s memory. We took a moment to look him up and were impressed by the fine man and warrior it was. Our hearts go out to the family and friends who will always love him. Semper fi, Marine.

I served with Jeremy in Iraq in 2007. I was a part of a unit attached to 1/4 at the time and I think about him every Memorial Day. I was a part of a crew that went out and recovered the vehicle he was in. I came across him in mutual ways and will always recall how great of a Marine everyone described him as. Every Memorial Day, my thoughts are with Jeremy and his family. I know his legacy will live on forever.

Sincerely,

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also to let the Allbaugh Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in Afghanistan. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. May God Bless you and keep you strong.

You will never be forgotten. I spoke with a man that is building a veterans memorial for our town and he has assured me that your name will be listed on our wall. Brian and I wear our memorial braclets everyday for you. We had a lot of good times together from DEP through SOI and on leave. I know your watching over us all. Rest in Peace Brother, You will never be forgotten.

I want to take the time to correct my previous entry. I referred to this brave young man as a soldier. For the family, friends, loved ones, and fellow Marines, I want to extend my apologies. He was a Marine, not a Soldier. I hope that my honest mistake has not offended anyone. My brother, Spc. Jeffrey S. Henthorn is one of the 100 men and women in Oklahoma, who have died while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.

The thought that I may have offended someone troubles me, and I have an obligation to this Marine and his family to correct my mistake.
It is the least I can do, and I owe it to him to do that.

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why
We sit here remembering them today
These heroes that now lie in their grave.

While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war
To ensure our safety and so much more

To keep our children happy and free,
Someone must do this job, you see
So, today remember the soldiers who served,
Because this is one thing they truly deserve.

The loved one's that they have left behind,
The Gold Star mothers, like your and mine
We honor them proudly, every day
Our American Soldier...Proud and Brave
By Shannon Williams-Austill

I want to thank this soldier for their sacrifice.
And, I wish to extend my deepest regards to the loved ones they have left behind. Their service to our nation, has not gone unnoticed. They are our heroes, who paid the ultimate price for us, and that is something that every American needs to be reminded of and remember everyday.
The freedom we all have, we have because of brave young men and women who made a choice to defend and serve.
Today, let me remember your loved one with you.

To the Allbaugh Family,

I know that there are no words to ease the pain of losing your son and brother. We are with you and our hearts grieve with yours. You raised a beautiful son who has shown great courage and we will always remember him and his sacrifice for our family.

Our son, Cpl Jared Shoemaker served with the Marines in Fallujah and was killed by an IED Sept 4, 2006. A friend sent me this quote from Abraham Lincoln--I have cherished it and from one Mom to another, I hope it helps you as well--

You must press the love of God close against your heart. That's the only way to buffer the pain of this dreadful loss.

The Marines have been tremendously supportive--please don't hesitate to email me if I can help in any way.

Our love and prayers are with all of you. Our son-in-love and daughter, Chance and Adell Watson were friends of your son and have many great things to say about Jeremy. We cannot express enough our gratitude for the sacrifice ALL of you have made to keep our freedom. It comes at the highest price to pay. As Chance is in Iraq even now, we pray many times a day for him and cannot imagine not having him. Please know that we will continue to keep you in our prayers and our thoughts in the days ahead. Again, our deepest thanks and gratitude for your son.

With a heavy heart and deep sadness I offer my thoughts and prayers to the family of CPL Jeremy Allbaugh. This is the land of the free because of the brave like Jeremy.

Time will not heal the loss of this young man but that combined with the memories and inspiration that he left behind will make it easier.

You and your family are in my prayers. Your son, Cpl. Jeremy Allbaugh, paid the ultimate price for our freedom. I did not have the pleasure of meeting your son, however, my son was a friend of his. My son, LCpl Chance Watson is serving in Iraq now. I pray that God comforts you in the days and weeks ahead. I know that my "freedom is not free" because of the price your son and others have paid. God Bless you.

Jeremy, I never got to meet you, But the Lauvers always had so many good things to say about you. I just want to say thank you for being such a great friend to them and for being a hero to us all. You made the ultimate sacrifice for your country and the people you love. Keep an eye on your brothers still over there, their families back home and the rest of our military...No one could have asked for a better guardian angel.
Thank you for everything. God Bless

To the parents and family, thank you so much for having such a wonderful and fun-loving son, who touched our lives in more ways that you can know. He will be missed so much, and I'm so sorry that I could not attend the funeral, as I live in California, but I am there in my heart and on behalf of my husband who is currently serving in Iraq, we love you buddy, and you will be sooo very missed. Thanks for your service and dedication to our country. You will NEVER be forgotten.
