It's been 5 years and it still hurts like the day I found out I'd never get to spend the rest of my life with you. I always think of you and what our lives would have turned out like if you were still here..if we would of still got married like we planned, if we'd have kids running around..if we wld be just as happy as we were back then...it still breaks my heart seeing pictures of you and remembering things you said, & listening to our song! I know your here with me still, sometimes I honestly think I feel your presence and it warms my heart and makes me smile..i miss you like crazy & babe it hurts like hell! But I know someday we will be together again,I will carry you with me till then, always.... I love you completely Ronnie

Hey Ron!
I came home to Pflugerville today and drove past that old Chevron gas station. I will never forget walking in there and you buying a $25 band sign from me because you felt bad that I hadn't sold any and then somehow I convinced you to join my "new to Hendrickson Club." Thanks for being a genuinely good guy.

Briannah, pregnant with twins Ajouiannah and Johnathon Ron Angel

Aunt Dawn

March 21, 2011

Today I walked into Briannah's room, she was laying there with her boyfriend crying. She is 33 wks pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. I asked her baby whats wrong, she says nothing. I looked at Johnathon and I say, whats wrong he shrugged his shoulders and said " I asked her the same thing." I thought she was in pain and asked her if she was and she just shrugged. I kneeled down beside her and hugged her tight and said baby talk to me, are you ok. She started to cry and hold me tight, weeping so hard that it scared me. I said please talk to me, and she said " I was writing a letter to Ron, momma I need him here, I am scared."
Ron I know ur always with her and to make sure of that she is naming her son Johnathon Ron Angel so she can have a part of with her always.
Everyone loves and misses u soooo much baby boy!

I went to middle school with ron at ft. campbell are parents were close and his little sister and my sister were friends. We were very close friends as I was going to basic he was going to iraq and I spoke with him and i told him I will see him there. Some months later I was deployed to the same place he was, we would of saw each other.

I remember Joshua and Bob from OSUT at Bravo 787. I wasn't in their platoons during this but I got to know them both. When I got the news that they had both died I was at Ft. Dix, NJ getting ready to be in Iraq myself. When you spend 6 months with some one they become closer than family, they become blood. And when you loose people that are that close to you it's like you are missing a part of yourself. I bet every single person from basic/ait was thinking the same thing when they heard the news. Why couldn't it have been me instead of them. Why did two great individuals have their lives taken from them before they even got a chance to live them.

To the Joshua Family.....
Its been just over 2 yrs and I find myself remembering it like it was yesterday! I was deployed with Josh (as we called him) and Bobb in the 401st when it happened, and as irony would have it, im back at Camp Liberty, Iraq serving my country again. Please know that the memory of those two will never be forgotten and I wish your family the best! I hope that time has made it easier to cope with and would like you to know this... As long as I serve, I will never allow their memory to be forgotten and will always reguard them as the HEROS they are!

TO THE JOSHUA FAMILY. IT'S BEEN A YEAR NOW SINCE BOTH OF OUR LOSSES. PFC. RON J. JOSHUA AND PFC. BRANDON K. BOBB WERE TRUE FRIENDS AND TRUE SOLDIERS. THEY BOTH GAVE THE ULTIMATE SACRAFICE FOR THEIR COUNTRY. WE THE BOBB FAMILY WILL NEVER FORGET RON AS I KNOW BRANDON WILL FOREVER BE IN YOUR MINDS AND HEARTS ALSO. I PRAY FOR STRENGTH EVERY DAY THAT WE AS FAMILIES OF FALLEN SOLDIERS WILL CONTINUE TO BE STRONG.

In Memory of Ron ~ (Debra Estep)

July 17, 2008

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Ron, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

I can't believe it's been almost a year since we got your call telling us what had happened. Ron was such a wonderful young man and there is a void in our hearts since he was taken. I remember that little grin he used to give everytime we'd see him...asking for the chips and hot sauce. James-Austin looked up to him and respected him so much. Ron helped him get through that first deployment. Ursula my heart is aching for you, I can't even begin to imagine the pain you're still going through. We are ALWAYS here for you, Josh, and Brittany...you are part of our family and always will be. Anything you need, we're here for you. We Love Ya'll.
Ron~look after them and know that you will never be forgotten.
We Love You Ron!!

Ron, my best friend, it's been 10 months and I'm still not use to the fact that I will never be able to see you again. It hits me sometimes, it hits me hard. And then sometimes, not very often, I feel at ease. I will never be able to forget you. Every moment that we spent together will run through my mind each day. I love you Ron with all my heart. One day we may meat again, until that day, I will keep you in my thoughts.
Love always & forever, your cousin,

To Ron's family: My heartfelt sympathy. I am a member of Soldier's Angels a national non-profit organization that supports deployed soldiers and their families. While in the grocery store today at Randalls in Austin on William Cannon & Mopac I met a check out helper who noticed my Soldiers' Angel t-shirt. I told her my story of involvement and that I had a son in the Air Force who is on his 2nd deployment. She mentioned that she was related to Ron and I asked her his last name so I could find your guest book and express my sympathies. I am sorry for your loss and this fine young man's life cut short. God bless you all.

Ron J.,
Its me Terry Hicks we served together here in 426th FSB in 2000. I know its a lil late but I heard the news late. And seems like I'm the last to sign the gestbook. God has a purpose for everything and thats where we as humans make the mistake in questioning God. When the day come when we understand that we are God's children and we belong to him we will learn to deal with loss of love ones a lil better. Our job as parents is to raise a child in the way it should go that way when they do leave the nest egg we have no worries and i'm sure that you and Ursula did a heckuva a job with that young man he was a very wellmannered young man. God is good all the time even in times like these. Much love to you and your family when you get the time hit me up, 931-436-8417. Holla partner.

Every now and then, i look at his myspace, or read the artical about him and bobb, and it never seems real, it seems like just the other day we were in basic gettin "smoked" or in the feild freezing, gettin yelled at, or just in the bay tryin to get a quick 5 minutes of sleep during a latrine break, counting down the days til christmas exodus, sharing stories of home, friends family, anything, man..... joshua was like a brother to me, he'd b at my rack everynight at lights out, and hope in like it was his, and then next thing you know im on the phone with him, a couple days before he flew out, i never would of thought this would happen, i just figured id call him when he got homeand ask him how it was, not this, i can only imagine what its like for the family that raised him, i was with him for 19 weeks and he was like family to me, miss u battle-

To the Joshua Family, please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss. I was Ron's 2nd grade teacher at Mae Stevens Elementary School in Copperas Cove, TX. I was shocked when I heard Ron's name on a news cast. I can't believe he is gone. I remember Ron as a firecracker of a young man! He was full of fire and always kept me on my toes. I do remember this, he never left my classroon in the afternoon without telling me goodbye while looking me directly in the eye. He always made sure to tell me to have a good day before he left to head home for the day. I want his family to know that I have never forgotten Ron. He was one of the most respectful young men I have ever had the privilege of working with. Please know that your family is in my toughts and my daily prayers. Sincerely, Dee Muth

Expressing heartfelt sympathy
For the grief you're going through
During your time of sadness
My heart goes out to you

The heartbreak of losing a son
I know you must be asking why
His parting will leave a void
He was too young to die

After all you had been through
Sending heartfelt condolences
I will always be here for you

Hello friends and fellow family of this fallen hero, he was my younger cousin, but in a way I felt he was stronger and even sometimes wiser than I. And it turns out he was braver than I. Yes his bravery surpassed mines, and adults twice his age. He was more than a cousin, a family member, he was a great friend. And I among many others loved him and now I feel like it was a honor to be in his presence. I hope Uncle Charlie Bee, Ursla, and cousin Britt cope with their big loss in time. I love you all too.

Hello,
You don't know me but I went to middle school and high school with Ron in Ft. Campbell. I just found out the news from my sister who had kept in touch with him. I am currently in the Army and deployed in Baghdad myself. I wish I would have known Ron was with Ft. Hood because that's where I am out of also. I am so deeply sorry for what has happened. I wish I could say something that would ease the pain but I know I can't. All I can say is that Ron is a hero and I am proud to call him a fellow soldier. Take care.

August 4, 2007

I don't pretend to know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Sorry for your loss. There can be not greater anguish then the loss of a child. I can only tell you what I told my men; A soldiers death always has meaning. He didn't die falling off a latter, or getting hit by a drunk. He died on mission with his buddies. None of us can ask for more.

Patrick Martin

August 3, 2007

My name is Patrick Martin. I went to basic and AIT with Ron and i became really close friends with Ron. We always talked about how cool it was to be in the United States Army and how we wanted to go down range together. We could always relate to everything together and we understood each other. He was always there for me when i needed to laugh or just chill. I am so upset about losing such a good friend and a great soldier. His death makes me work twice as hard every day at work and i have one more reason now to serve my country and fullfill all of my duties as a military police officer. I think about him all the time and I know he is with me everyday through the rough times. This country lost a great soldier and an all around great person. I know he will never be forgotten and I will work harder everyday now to give back all the knowledge and good times Ron provided for me and my battle buddies. May he rest and peace and god bless his family for i know they are going through rough times. Sincerly, Patrick Martin 92 Military Police Company, 1st platoon Crusaders.

Dear Joshua family:

I never had the pleasure to meet this fine young man, or the Joshua family. But I feel compelled to offer my deepest heart felt condolences. I want to thank Ron for holding the line for us, so we may enjoy our precious freedom back here in America. When this fine young man passed, we lost a great American, and even a greater Texan. God bless Ron and your entire family.

I am not one for words, but my prayers go out the families and friends who are going through this hard time. I was along side of PFC. Joshua in boot camp. He definitely took the job serious! When I heard the news, I didn't believe it. You will be missed!!! "Drive on Bulldogs, Bulldogs drivin' on"

Dear Ron,

I am so sorry that you are gone, and I hope you are with God and Jesus right now! I never knew of you until I heard about your ultimate sacrifice on the news. I am writing because my daughter attends your alma matar, Hendrickson High School. I know you graduated in 2006 as a member of HHS's very first graduating class. Like their motto, you were and are "first class".

Thank you and God bless your family,

Thank you for defending me
and the land in which we live,
my freedom is protected by your families selfless service and ultimate sacrifises to our nation. This gives my children a chance for a future now. You are defenders of this nation and keepers of my rights
I bow my head and pray for you.
I cannot express my gratitude
or the pride inside of me
To know that I'm protected
by soldiers I can't see.
