Mr. & Mrs Hubbard,
The War Has Effected My family so much, as i lost 4 cousins already. my 2 brothers are fighting in the war both are doing fine. ive wanted to enlist but my parents are refusing to let me go, they were just in so much shock and pain when they heard what happened, they just dont want it happening to us. every christmas, memorial day and veterans day i always think of jason and how hes doing. Nathan And Jared were two great brothers that my brothers never got to meet, as we live on the opposite coasts of this country. they thank both of them, for their courage, bravery and sacrifice. Just wishing Jason, Nate And Jared a merry xmas as jason's brothers look down from heaven this holiday season.

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Nathan, but I am remembering
his service.

He is my hero as is his brother Marine Lance CPL Jared.

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

As I am leaving to welcome my Marine son home from deployment I am elated! To be able to hug my son is a gift from God. But yet there is a heaviness to my heart as my thoughts turn to the families who do not have that privilege. I think of your family and other Clovis families who's Hero's are waiting in Heaven for their reunions and hugs. Thank you again for your sons and their sacrifices for our Freedom!

I truly thank God for this web site because it helps us to know that what's going on in the Middle East is real. To the Hubbard family, the loss of one son must be heart wrenching but to lose two sons has got to be devistating. As I look at your photo on the front page USA Today, I see that the Almighty God has strengthened you and given you favor. Most of all I pray for continued peace for you and your family. Thank you so much Hubbard brothers.

ALTHOUGH THE NEWS OF BOTH OF YOUR SONS DIDN'T REACH ME UNTIL YOUR ARTICLE IN "PEOPLE"
MAGAZINE...WORDS COULD NEVER DESCRIBE THE SORROW I FELT FOR YOU...MY HEART HAS BEEN EXTREMELY HEAVY EVER SINCE I READ YOUR TRAGIC STORY...SO, I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING FOR YOU FROM MY HEART...I MADE BOTH OF YOUR SONS A "CUSTOM WINE COUNTRY TRIBUTE" FROM MY HEART...AND MY HANDS...IN GREAT HONOR AND DEDICATION...I WOULD LIKE TO BRING THEM TO YOU IN PERSON...IF IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT WITH YOU?
MY ONLY SON, NATHAN...HAS MADE IT HOME FROM HIS SECOND TOUR IN IRAQ AND WE WOULD BE HONORED TO PRESENT OUR GIFTS.

GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND TO JASON AND HIS FAMILY AS WELL...

MR AND MRS HUBBARD,
THE LOSS OF YOUR SON HAS DEEPLY TOUCHED ME IN EVERY WAY I CAN POSSIBLY THINK OF. WITH A COUSIN OVER IN THE WAR, I THINK OF A DAY WHERE IM EITHER GONNA GET THAT PHONE CALL OR A KNOCK ON MY DOOR AND A UNIFORMED SOLDIER WILL BE STANDING THERE. LOSING 1 COUSIN IS TOUGH ENOUGH AND MY FAMILY HAS THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS THAT GO OUT TO YOU AND THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO HELP

Hubbard Family,
I was so touched when I read your story. We lost my nephew on Easter Sunday, therefore, I know that there is nothing that can be said to lessen the pain. It still hits me in my heart. When I heard about Nathan, and his brother it was like hearing about Rodney all over again. My heart, prayers and thanks goes out to you and your family. For you didn't give just one son, you lost two.

My heart goes out to you all. I lost my 15 year old daughter two years ago. She died in her sleep, a healthy girl with no problems. Now my son is in Iraq serving his country. I worry about him every day and totally understand what you meant by not being prepared for the loss of a second child. I find comfort in knowing that the Lord has a greater knowledge of what is necessary in this life than I do. Knowing that He is aware of our needs and our pains gives me great comfort and it will be my prayer that you have that comfort as well.

To the Hubbard Family:

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folder flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

Every second you sacrificed
I hold you in my prayers.
So with one hand on my heart and the other in the air;

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you allow me the honor to salute you with
permission let me say even though I hold no rank know
that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the
deepest part.

I salute you

I salute you

The day of Nathan's service, I was driving home for lunch and was listening to ksks country and a gentleman that was in the caravan to the cemetery called in and asked if they would play the song named LETTERS FROM HOME. I started crying. For me it just show's how much Nathan means to the people that know and knew him. Many hearts go out to the Hubbard family more than they will ever begin to realize. Love ones will always have a part of our hearts.

Rest now, fallen comrade,
For I bear honor upon your sacred place.
Rest now, fallen comrade,
For I stand castling freedom
Upon your resting place.
Fight no more, fallen comrade,
For I am here to see we are free.
For I will stand, fallen comrade,
Having full knowledge my dress and
actions reflect on those that surround me,
For I represent a nation and the
state in which I serve.
So rest now, fallen comrade.
For I will bear honor upon this sacred place you now honor.

To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

To the Hubbard Family,

You are in my prayers constantly. My heart aches so badly for you. Even though I have lost a son in this war, I can’t begin to imagine what you are going through. Our prayers are all we have to offer you, but that may be the most meaningful thing we can do. There are few families who have sacrificed as much as you have. Thank you to your sons, Jared and Nathan, and to Jason and the rest of your family, who have all given so much.

Dear Hubbard Family,

As a total stranger to your family, you have entered my heart on many an occasion. All I can say is that in the family of the Lord your sons are saints in my heart. They gave their lives for the rest of us, as other saints have done, and that could only come from God.

God Bless all of you.

Dear Hubbard Family;
I hope that, as we do not know your family, that we are not intruding by expressing our sincere gratitude to you and your sons for their faithful sacrifice. We are truly grateful for the freedom that was bought at such a high price by your family. We do not take it, nor you, for granted. Thank you so much and may God bless you. You are in our prayers.

These
words cannot dull the sharp edge of grief you suffer. We can only pray
that as you continue to trust and lean on God, the passage of time and
the certain knowledge that our Lord will bring your family together
again in His own time, with unending joy for eternity, never again to
suffer pain, tears, want or sorrow, will gradually dull the cutting
edge. We do not know your family personally, but it is clear your sons
answered a higher calling, are heroes and we must celebrate their lives, never forget them, or
allow our future acts to diminish their sacrifice.
God Bless,

Jeff, Peggy, Jason and Heidi (Jason's family)..

Our prayers go out to you and your family. Jared and Nathan both gave the ultimate sacrafice for my family and they will never be forgotten. You, Peggy and Jeff have given the ultimate sacrafice that a parent has to give (one that we do not ever want to give, we are suppose to go first). Jason and Nathan have given my family the greatest gift by helping us live in a safer world. I know that Jason and Nathan have big beautiful wings and are now watching over there loved ones from a distance that is closer than Iraq. Just know that your boys will never be forgotten. everytime there is a ray of sunlight, thundershowers, rainbow and butterflies they are around. Someday I will get to thank them personally until then I would like to thank you and offer our prayers to you and your family. May god heal your broken hearts and put a smile back in place.

Your boys will not be forgotten. Nathan's funeral was a beautiful remembrance of his life; what a tribute to your family...I then drove to his graveside service. I don't know Nathan or your family, but wanted to thank him and pay tribute for his service to our country. It is when this day has ended, and everyone is gone, that you live your loss alone. Your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers for your strength through this time; faith, and the comfort of friends and loved ones close by. If I can be of any help to you at any time, let me know...I am close by.

Today, as we buried one of our own in a little town in Gibsonville, NC; one of the soilders killed on the same helicopter as your son... My thoughts kept drifting to you and your son.
I felt proud as the Patriot Guard Riders turned the corner, I felt pain as the horse drawn carriage pulled into the cemetery, and then I prayed to God to help you and the other families during this sad time.
Thank you for your sacrifice. For your son who remains with us- I am truly proud and say thank you for his service to our country.

My heart and prayers are with you now and forever. The sacrific your family has made for the sake of our country is the most honorable one a person can give. You raised great boys into awesome MEN and I am proud to live in a community that shows that type of spirit everyday. May God wrap you all tightly in his arms and give you strength and courage in the years to come. Jared, Nathan, And Jeremiah will be etched upon my heart everyday for the rest of my life. I will personally never forget them.

Thank you so much for the sacrifice of your two sons for our freedom and the freedom of others. It reminds me of a similar sacrifice 2000 years ago on a hill outside of Jerusalem. May you find healing and the peace that only Jesus can provide for you now.

Dear Hubbard Family and Friends,
As I sit here leaving my message to you with tears in my eyes, my heart truly aches for the loss of Nathan and Jared. May they rest in peace. May Gods strength guide you though this difficult time.

I recently lost my father a month ago, Paul S. Robbins of Prattville Alabama, in a tragic Motorcycle accident. My Dad was a twenty year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a PROUD member of the Patriot Guard Riders. He was on his way to honor Pfc Jonathan Millican of Locust Fork, Alabama whom died this past January in Karbala.

All these wonderful brave men beleived in our beautiful United States of America and proudly served us. Our hearts ache for their loss but may we gain strenth from the pride we feel for them for their bravery.

Words seem so inadequate at a time like this! They hardly come to me, only to express my heartfelt gratitude to your family. I so wanted to attend the service just to stand with all our community in showing respect, love and honor on behalf on Jarred and Nathan. I viewed a large portion of the interview on-line and I was so impressed by all Jeff and Jason's comments. You all should be proud of the wonderful examples you've demonstrated in being an honorable American. I pray for Peggy especially in coping with this tragic loss. As a mother my thoughts have turned to you a hundred times over the last several days. Each time I ask God to please touch your hearts and bring you comfort. May numerous Blessings come to all of you as you continue your jouney called life and may you all reunite with our heavenly father and your beautiful boys one day.
Sincerely, The Newton's

Dear Hubbard Family:
While I live across the country I feel as if you are neighbors. We just lost one of our alumni to an attack in Iraq last week and his name will be added to our veterans memorial at Northeastern later this fall. His name was SSg Robert R. Pirelli of Franklin, MA.

Working as a mentor to ROTC cadets for the past five years I have been amazed at the dedication of these men and women who have voluntarily been deployed 2 or 3 times and who see purpose in what they are doing. Your sons sound like such dedicated men and we will all miss them.

May God bless and keep you close.

Sincerely,

Stephen Brainard

I had placed an entry in Nathan's guest book previously, as well as Jared's, however having just watched a portion of Nathan's service on Fox News and learning that these two young men were brothers, I am compelled once again to say to all the family and loved ones, how Deeply Sorry I am for your losses.

As a parent, who has lost a daughter suddenly and having lost a brother to war, in Vietnam, I am aware of the deep and devastating pain that accompanies such a loss.

I want to thank the Hubbard family, for these fine young men, for their service and the sacrifices they have made. These Young American Heroes, will Not Be Forgotten.

Your family will be remembered in our prayers daily.
May the peace of God be with each of you, in the days ahead.
May you find strength in your faith, comfort in God's love, and peace in knowing that this Grateful Country is praying for you.

Usually I sign these books with a prewritten but heartfelt message.
In this case I feel it is so important to add a personal message to your soldier and your family.
How can this nation ever thank you for your sacrifice, your soldier for giving his life and your family for answering the call of this nation and giving two sons to this country's call.
Your sons will always be heroes but your family will forever hold a special place in my heart and my thoughts.Know that I will carry you daily in prayer, know that the prayers of a grateful nation will sustain you through all of your years.
Families are for time and all eternity and some sweet day you will all be reunited in heaven as you view heaven to be.
It is my sincere prayer that God blesses each family member and friend with peace and comfort.Know that you are held in the thoughts and prayers of a grateful nation.

My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to you for another such tragedy in your family. I can't express how much my family is thankful and dedicated for the service and loyalty your sons have given to our country. I can't truly comprehend your pain, but you are in my prayers and I pray your hearts may be comforted. My father (a WWII) is buried not too far from your sons in Clovis Cemetery and I have often stopped by to pay my respects to your first son and his friend and will continue to do so. I'm sure my father would be proud to know he is resting in peace near honorable young men.
