Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Tracy C. Willis US Army Specialist.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,

Richard,
I know today must be a very hard day for you. I can't even imagine how you must feel and how much you miss your son. The night before Adrian left for Japan I stood in front of your son's picture on my fireplace as it has sat there since the day we got back from his funeral and selfishly asked your son to look over mine as he goes to serve his country as your son did. I say selfishly because I never had the pleasure of meeting Tracy and I'm asking him to do this for me. I'm not a man of faith but I do believe in angels like my late grandmother and your son. Even though Liz and I never met your son WE HONOR his memory and sacrifice for his country. I know words aren't much comfort today but I hope you know that we are thinking about you guys today and this day every year since his passing. Tracey was more of a man than I could ever be. Take care and hopefully you have some comfort in knowing that he is looking down on you with your dad by his side making sure your family is safe. Liz & Dan

you showed me a lot of things,
i learned a lot i did not know,
but you forgot to teach me one last thing
how to let you go,
i know you didnt mean to leave me,
sometimes we have no choice,
i miss being your little sister,
hearing my name called by your voice,
i wish i got to say " I Love You"
before you were giving to the sky,
if god could grant me one last wish
i'd ask to say "Good-Bye"
you always meant a lot to me,
i could never love you less,
i know its true when they say

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Willis-
My condolences come two years late, but please know that your son has been thought of and prayed for daily since I recently learned of his story. What a brave young warrior! Well done on raising such a strong, confident man! I am eternally grateful for his sacrifice and heroism! I've seen pictures of him and I've read the multitude of postings about him and it must make you so proud that he was so well-liked and admired by all. I am a veteran too, but my service to our country pales in comparison to what your son did to honor our nation. May God Bless you and hold you for all of your days. Please continue to share his story with other young Americans who might otherwise take their liberties for granted. Thank-you, Willis family, from the bottom of my heart.
With Warmest Regards,
September 23, 2009
Tracy,
I can't believe it has been over two years since your death. I still feel your last hug at FOB Olson after I gave you a pack of smokes and told you that I loved you and "to be careful son". You told me no problem "pops" I will see you after a while. I can't wait for "after a while" to be over so that I can hug you again. I miss you so much and so does your family here in my home. Some days the pain is unbearable until I hear your laughter or remember you coming to the house and going straight to the refrigerator. Then I have to smile because I got the chance to make you part of my family so much that you felt comfortable in my house to feel like one of our sons. Save some food for the rest of your Delta Company bro's up there if you can. Brothers Forever!

We think of you every moment. I walk by the memorial we have at home of you and Josh and I can't help but stop and just stare. Wishing every second you were still here with us. I noticed small little lip prints on the glass, I asked Sam and Jared what it was and they just giggled. They said when they pass by the curio they stop and give you kisses through the glass. They miss you so much. So does Dakota and it hurts her to talk about you being gone but I try to get her too. She just wishes you were here. We all do. We are all trying to hold strong but somedays it just catches up and it's hard. You are always in my heart and thoughts. Anjelica is also always in my heart and thoughts.

Tracy was my best friend, for a good while before deployment, we did everything together, no matter if it was going to the gas station, he went, or I went with him. I will always remember him doing the right thing and always smiling and laughing. He was really worried about my family liking him when they came to visit before deployment. When they got here they loved him, I will miss him very much. He will always be remembered.

The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Tracy, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

The 26th of Aug is coming up and it is very hard as I think you went to heaven almost a year ago. It still hurts as if it was yesterday. Everywhere we go there is something that reminds us of you (a song, a restaurant, a picture, etc). That’s how much you meant to our family. Tracy you are so very missed but I know you are in a better place with our Lord. Know that our family loved you like a son and we think of you every single day. May God embrace your father Richard and mother Wilma during these next few weeks. My prayers are with all of you.

The other day, Samantha was feeling sad; she said she wished she could see you. Jared then said I wish Tracy was like Iron Man. I asked him what he meant by that and he said that way the bullet would bounce off Tracy and he wouldn’t die. I didn’t know what to say. They didn’t get to know you well but we talked about you and Angelica all the time. We all miss you so much son, it’s still so hard. This coming week your sister Dakota is running in the Junior Olympics and she is running in your honor. She is running the hurdles like you and I did. She loves it and she is doing it for you. She will have your number and the American flag on her uniform. You and your sister are thought of every day as always. I know some day we will see you again but for now, know that we love you and miss you very much.

I knew Tracy in high school, he was always kind and always pumped and ready to go. He had a way of making everyone smile and he will be truly missed. He is home now and looking down on the rest of us. God Bless his soul. May he rest in peace.

Rich, Tracy served his country and now he is serving God. After the funeral service I was so relieved to find out Tracy was a Christian. Rich, Tracy is in a wonderful place now and I pray that one day we will all be with him serving God. We love you Brother Rich

Richard,
I was both shocked and saddened to hear of your son's death. I don't know of any eloquent way to express my gratitude to Tracy for serving this great country other than affirming that freedom is indeed, not free. Tracy paid the ultimate price with his life and you will forever miss him. The man died a hero...which is a lot more than most people will ever get to say.

Richard,(My Dearest Brother-in-Law)
I am so sorry for the loss of your son Tracy. My heart goes out to you. I didn't get the chance to meet him but just knowing you was like knowing him. He was so much like you in so many ways. Everything said about him was like talking about you. Athletic, a good heart, strong mind, and always putting his friends first before himself. Wow thats so you. I am sorry you will not get to enjoy his presence but he is with you in spirit and God knows how much you love him and wished to have been with him. He is a true Hero to me and my family, you, his family and to his country. May God comfort you and your Son Tracy smile down at you alwasy.

Son, There has always been an empty feeling in my heart and now it has grown even more. There is no father more proud of there son as I am with you. I just wish I could have been with you more but I will always remember our fishing trip where you hooked me in the back. The scar is still visible as my love for you and Anjilica has always been. Rest in peace and know that I kept my word to you. I love you and miss you more than words could say. With love and admiration, Your father Richard A. Stallworth.

Daryll and Wilma,
I know nothing I say can ease your pain, but I wanted you to know that you raised a fine young man who was mature, considerate, well-mannered, a joy to be around and movie star handsome. Tracy was a gem among men. I'll miss his smile.

I didn't personally know Spc. Willis, but I do know your pain as I recently had a soldier killed in action. Many prayers from our family to yours for your sacrifice, and thank you so much for the hero the world was able know.
Sincerely,
