Donald Munn Obituary
Staff Sgt. Donald L. Munn II, gave his life Oct. 11, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq, during the Operation Iraqi Freedom. Donald was assigned to the Special Troops Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, and Ft. Hood, Texas. Donald had been in the U.S. Army for five years as an M.P. Donald met his wife in Germany, where both were stationed together.
Donald was born Jan. 2, 1982, in Grosse Pointe, Mich.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jennifer Munn (Salvador); and daughter, Jordan Lyn of Fairfield; mother, Rae Richards-Randazzo of Bellaire, Mich.; father, Donald Munn of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Courtney Pyles of Caspar, Wyo.; and grandmother, Dorothy Richards of St. Claire Shores, Mich.
Friends are invited to a visitation from 4 to 9 tonight at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 2700 Dover Ave., Fairfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 425-4697.

Well my friend on this day of memorial, I just wanted to say thank you for all you gave. I think of you often as that little boy and I look at my children hope that one day they grow to be as strong and brave as you. My oldest was in the St. Clair Shores paraded this year and as the many thanks you for all the vet the one that made me the proudest was the fact that even still all these years have passed and Lac Saint Clair baseball league still carries a banner with your picture to honor the hero you are! Rest in peace you will never be forgotten.

While cleaning out some old pictures I ran across one that brought back some smiling memories. 2 yrs old...Tiger uniform....and showing your angry side. I love that picture and that memory of you. I know everyone says it but it does seem like yesterday that I held you and rocked you. I can close my eyes and see you like you were here. Miss you.
