Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of David E. Lambert
US Army Sergeant.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

I still think of you often my friend. I wish we had been able to see you again after our return from Germany and that you could have met our second beautiful daughter. You are always in our hearts and while I miss you so much, I know you are watching over your family and friends all the time. It was hard for me to learn of your passing and I am not sure I really gave myself a chance to grief. I could not think of a deployment ending in this way with Richard about to go over to the same area you were in. There are still deployments in our future and they will always be filled with concern, but I feel you are going to be watching over him for us. We love you always.

Hello,
I represent PRAYER SHAWLS 4 FALLEN SOLDIERS (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 3,370 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 247 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Would you kindly send me a contact email/address so that we may send a loving hand-made prayer shawl to the family? Thank you!

Dear Bo, I feel the need to put this here in hopes that maybe it'll help me relieve my built up emotions. I miss you every single day of my life. The day the Army Officials came and rang our doorbell was the day a part of my heart died. You were the best Uncle I could ever ask for and I know that you are now the Hero that I knew you were all along. You gave the ultimate sacrifice for this Country and I wish more people understood just what the troops go through every single day as well as their families. We all miss you so very much and I have tears in my eyes as I am writing this because the pain is still very much so there. You were always there for me when I needed you and you always knew what to say to make things alright again and to always make me smile. I know we had our fights but we were more like brother and sister than uncle and niece. I pray for you every single night and I tell you goodnight and I love you in hopes you may hear me. I know I will be seeing you again and that God really needed you and that's why I am so jealous of the angels that get to see you but I know one day I will be able to be with you again. I love you and miss you with everything inside of me!

I am so sorry to all the family, and friends for waiting so long to write. Bo and Derek were also room mates. I know it has been a year since there deaths, but it seems like yesterday. If anyone ever need to talk or anything just send me a message. My heart still aches all the time and I know time heals all wounds. God doesn't make mistakes. To the Lambert family,
Thinking of all our soldiers today.
...For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed.
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

My heart goes out to you. I worked with Bo at Cumberland for almost 2 years. He was one of the most caring people I knew. What I loved about him was that he was so mature and full of good advice but at the same time he could be silly and so much fun. I feel lucky to have ever known him! God bless you!

Bo is a dear friend to my family. We were so close growing up my family just about adopted him. He would hang out at our home on many occasions, ride to church with us on Sunday’s and go eat with us at Grandma Pruitt’s afterwards. There was never a dull moment with Bo David Lambert. He had such healing spirit about him. No matter who you were he would make you want to become a better person. He had such an affect on people with his smile and positive attitude about everything. I feel honored and blessed to have had such a great friend like Bo in my life.
Bo, there is not one day will go by that I won't think of your smile. You are the angel God shared with us for such a short time. We all love you and we will miss you so much.
To the Lambert family my prayers are with you daily that God will give you the strength to get through this difficult time. You all have been such a big part of our family and we are here for you if you all need anything.

To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

To the family and parents of David, I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many question as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. There are no right or wrong ways to grieve, it’s an individual journey that unfortunately we now have to take. I ask that God give the comfort, strength and courage that you are going to need. When and if the time is right for you please contact me. You can cry, vent, or just talk as only another person who has been where you are can really know what you are going through. May God continue to be with you and heal you.

You just always had that way about you. You were not one easily forgotten... You made an impact on everyone you met, somehow.
Our kids also enjoyed seeing you come around because "Bo" would rough'em up...they loved it.
"Bo" you truly are the Hero that eveyone is saying that you are but you're also so much more...We all love you and will miss you terribly.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!
I would also like to tell you about a website, [email protected] where some wonderful people will make wood portraits of your fallen Hero for free for the immediate family. I became aware of this site when I wanted to do something special for Le Ron’s mother.

I can't even find the words...I lost my 19 year old son--5 Sept 2007, Balad, Iraq. I am absolutely devastated and I know that you are too...but find comfort in the fact that we will see our loved ones, our heroes again. Do I wish that I could trade places with my son? ABSOLUTELY not. He is in the arms of our Lord--"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away" ~Rev 21:4
What a wonderful thought...
May God bless Spc David E. Lambert, God bless you and your family and God bless America!

With the deepest regret, I have just learned of the death of Specialist Lambert. As a Vietnam Veteran and the State Chaplain of the Georgia Society, Sons Of The American Revolution, I speak for our President, Charlie A. Newcomer, III and the more than 1,400 SAR members around the State of Georgia in humbly expressing the condolences of a grateful Society. Wrapped in the integrity of service to our nation and the inestimable values of duty, honor and country, your American hero stood on a wall of freedom for us all. This precious life, lived and lost in love of America, epitomized every attribute of patriotism the Sons Of The American Revolution hold dear. And, as Americans, we could never repay the debt we owe ..!! Nor the debt we owe you… the family of one of America's best ...!!!

Father we entrust our brother David to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold David in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest sympathy.

There will Never Be Enough Ways, to Humbly Thank these Young Heroes, for their Sacrifices, my brother among them. Killed in action in Vietnam in 1967.

there shall be no more pain.
For the former things have have passed away."
