Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of James William E. Allmon US Army Sergeant.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

It's been 7 long years since my son was taken away from us. I sometimes search his name so I can read about him again and that's why I'm here on this page again.
I hold Will's memory close and guard it in my heart. Sometimes that memory pops up and refuses to settle down until I write something about him.
He was a sweet child and grew into a wonderful man. He was such a prankster and laughed so easily.
Things change and life goes on, but his warm memory stays with me. I think of him every day and I'm grateful to have been the one chosen to be his Mother.
Since his death, my youngest son has come to live with us and we often talk about Will. We recount his antics as a teen and how much he made us laugh even when things weren't all that great.
I dream of him often and cherish those dreams as the chance to be with him and converse with him just one more time.
Thank you all for your thoughts.

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why
We sit here remembering them today
These heroes that now lie in their grave.
While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war
To ensure our safety and so much more
To keep our children happy and free,
Someone must do this job, you see
So, today remember the soldiers who served,
Because this is one thing they truly deserve.
The loved one's that they have left behind,
The Gold Star mothers, like your and mine
We honor them proudly, every day
Our American Soldier...Proud and Brave
By Shannon Williams-Austill
I want to thank this soldier for their sacrifice.
And, I wish to extend my deepest regards to the loved ones they have left behind. Their service to our nation, has not gone unnoticed. They are our heroes, who paid the ultimate price for us, and that is something that every American needs to be reminded of and remember everyday.
The freedom we all have, we have because of brave young men and women who made a choice to defend and serve.
Today, let me remember your loved one with you.

Dear Allmon Family,
We know you were at Soldiers Walk today to remember your dear son. We could not be there so we have missed two years, but we will be there next December. Dear family we know how much you are hurting at this time because last year we had to face the loss of our son, Alun, at a time that should have been joyous. The hurt goes on and little is going to take away this pain. However, things do get easier with time but it is impossible to fill that hole in ones heart. Before losing Alun we thought that we understood the loss of a military member especially as I had been in the British Military for twenty years. However, I was clueless and now we understand what it means to lose a son, brother and friend that is so close. Each time we hear of the loss of a soldier we have this terrible feeling of dread because we know what another family will have to go through. We felt this when we heard of the loss of your son Will, another true hero.
May the blessings be.
With respect,

My name is Donna Fortune. I am Will's Mother and I have signed this guest book before. I would like to thank you all for your kind words of inspiration and kindness.
Will wasn't one for a whole lot of fanfare. He didn't even attend his High School graduation, because he didn't want to walk across the stage. He was funny and liked to make others smile, but it was always in a quiet way as not to draw all the attention to himself, but to bring out something special in the other person. Out of everyone who knew him, my daughter and I knew him best. We all had a special relationship and Miranda and I will always cherish that part of who Will was.
His purpose on this Earth has been served. It is our duty to now stand in support of his brothers and sisters at arms. Pray that they all return home safely and that God will watch over them and their families. They are all Heroes in the strongest sense of the word. Though death has claimed Will, we must all go on and do the next right thing.

To the family and parents of William I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many questions as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. There is no right or wrong way to grieve it’s an individual journey that unfortunately we now have to take. I ask that God give the comfort, strength and courage that you are going to need. When and if the time is right for you please contact me. You can cry, vent, or just talk as only another person who has been where you are can really know what you are going through. May God continue to be with you and heal you.

I'm a volunteer with Books For Soldiers and had contact with Will through that organization. I'm saddened that I'll never have the opportunity to meet Will in person, but am honored to have had some contact with this man who touched so many. Mostly, I'd like his loved ones to know how he portrayed himself to strangers. He was a proud father and stepfather. His deep love for his wife was apparent and touching. Will was extremely friendly and polite, definitely a "family man," and just an all-around nice guy. May you all treasure the time you had with this very special gentleman.

To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

Will was an amazing young man. I didn't have the opportunity to get to know him as well as I would have liked, but over the past couple weeks I've come to learn more than I could have imagined. I learned more about his laughter and his love. I even learned some of the silly things he did when he was younger.
I'm proud to have been able to meet Sgt Allmon. And I am very grateful for the sacrifice Will and his family have made for our country. There's no sacrifice greater. Thank you!
Will left this world a HERO, and he will always be watching over us and protecting us.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am Sgt. William Allmon's sister. This has been the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, Will and I had so many plans for when he returned home in July. It still feels like it is just a mean joke, I have not came to terms with this yet. The support that I have recieved from people that I dont even know is amazing. Will would be so proud! Will love life and he loved everyone in his life. He was always making people smile. Will you will forever be missed, my life has changed, it will never be the same, I am still trying to figure out how I will go on with you. I know that you are watching over me. The Ultimate Sacrifice (by: Reese Bishop)
I sit here tonight
My heart piled in a heap
For a soldier has fallen
And now I can't sleep
I go through my days
With my hopes and my fears
But now they must take
A backseat to my tears
How do you tell a parent
That their beloved child is gone
Where does a spouse
Get strength to carry on
Why must a child
Live without mom or dad
Oh it is a different world
Than the one that they had
Yes a soldier has fallen
In a land afar
Now in their place
Shines a bright star
To them I am grateful
It is clear to see
They laid down their life
For someone like me
So when asked to honor them
I will not think twice
For our freedom and peace
They made the Ultimate Sacrifice
God Bless You all, you are in my prayers

He taught me alot of stuff that I didn't know about the military and life. He was a true friend, a outstanding soldier and brother is arms. He will be truly missed and cherished by my family and all the other families he crossed. He is a true hero and mentor for alot of younger soldiers who now look up to him including my self.
To the family of Sgt W. E. Allmon I will make you this promise. I promise you that I will do all I can to ensure that all the rest of the Dawgs of War will make it back home alive so you can meet everyone else. I will also try my best to ensure the roads are safe for all the other soldiers here to make it back to their homes alive in one peice.
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what pain you are feeling but I am feeling a great deal of pain also. He was my brother and will truly be missed. His life will always remain on in our memories.

To the family of William Allmon...
We'd like to express our deepest sympathy. How truly sorry we feel. It is hard to know what to say at times like these. We can only begin to imagine the sorrow that comes along with losing someone so close to your heart. May cherished memories bring you peace and comfort. Please know that our hearts ache in unison with yours at the loss of this young man, a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice for the values we hold so dear in America. Our thoughts are with you.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!
I would also like to tell you about a website, http://groups.msn.com/SSPSoldierPor
traits/homepage,
where some wonderful people will make wood portraits of your fallen Hero for free for the immediate family. I became aware of this site when I wanted to do something special for Le Ron’s mother.

Father we entrust our brother William to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold William in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest sympathy.

Although I have never met this young man, I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies to his wife, daughter and other family members. We recently lost another Ardmore soldier, who was a friend of many young people I know, and they were devastated by the loss. God Bless You as you try to handle all the grief, and other unexpected trials, but please know that God will make a way, where there seems no way, and that He will heal the broken-hearted.
