God Bless You and Keep You Thomas and Family.... my son is a 1/3 Lava Dog out of K-Bay and while I don't know if he knew Thomas personally because I find I can't question him too much about things there, I read about the tragic loss of your son in a recent update. I wish to say that while I cannot begin to understand what you must be going through, I grieve right along with you for your loss... as any military family knows and understands, it is always a moment away from any loss for those brave and committed young soldiers over there who put their lives on the line for all of us here. I hope you have felt some comfort and solace in all of the wonderful things that have been said and written about your wonderful young son Thomas. I am impressed by him having never met him, am deeply sorry for your loss and will be forever grateful to you for him and for his service.

Reilly, you were a great person. I might not have known you personally but I knew you since School of Infantry and I will never forget you. Ward was killed in action in Iraq while on a routine patrol. My promise to him was that I would never forget him but also those fallen before and after him. When I made that promise to him the day we laid him to his final resting place I did not realize how often I would need to make entries on Legacy and it just breaks my heart knowing that so many other families have and will continue to feel the pain that our family has endured. To the Reilly family please accept my heart felt condolences and my prayer that god help you cope with this tragic loss and may the memories of your HERO carry you through each day. I can't believe this kid,who just became a man is now gone!!He was such an awesome person!!You could tell after meeting him just one time,his mother(Georgina Bray)got it sooo right!!He was kind hearted, sweet, funny and well adjusted!!He had many goals.I'm proud to have known him,and beyond sad that he is gone.I saw him right before he left for basic and he was bursting with pride.I gave him a big hug and told him to keep his head down,never knowing it was the last time I would ever see his beautiful face.Oh yes he had a beautiful face,but it didn't hold a candle to his beautiful heart and soul!!I like sooo many people will miss him!!It's his mother (Georgina Bray)I'm worried about!!As much as he loved her,she loved him 100 fold more!!My heart goes out to her and his brother and sister!!He was just sooo alive and ready to take on the world!!I'm just sorry he won't get the chance.The world is a much sadder place without him in it!!
