”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Over 1,800 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have some wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and only want you know that we care.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,

To the Geary family,
I know there are no words to say, except how sorry I am for your loss. May you hold Daniels' memory in your heart and please remember he shall never be forgotten.
...For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed.
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

Daniel, I just wanted to say thank you for your brave and honorable service to a grateful nation. Like so many others you have volunteered to serve our country and protect the vary freedom America was built on. Please know Daniel that you like so many other fallen brother and sisters in arms that you will never be forgotten and you are heroes to us all. My nephew PFC Aaron J. Ward also paid the ultimate price on 5/6/08 while on a routine patrol in Anbar Province as an MP. His unit was ambushed and came under small arms fire and he was taken from us. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him and all our brave heroes serving in our armed services. I stand tall and salute you Daniel and will forever honor the memory of you along with my nephew. To the Geary family words cannot express enough the pain both our families now must endure and my prayer is that the memory of your brave hero carry you through each day as you cope with this tragic loss. Since the loss of my nephew I have written on every single legacy page of every fallen soldier and included a photo of my nephew. I encourage you to do the same to Aaron's page. I have done this to honor my nephew but to let you know your loved one is not alone and my nephew is with him and they are now in God's gracious hands waiting for us to join them one day. From the bottom of my heart please except my sincere condolences and may the memories of your Hero carry you through each day for he will never be forgotten!

To the parents and family, I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many questions as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. There is no right or wrong way to grieve it’s an individual journey that unfortunately we now have to take. I ask that God give the comfort, strength and courage that you are going to need. When and if the time is right for you please contact me. You can cry, vent, or just talk as only another person who has been where you are can really know what you are going through. May God continue to heal you as He gives comfort to you today and for the rest of your lives.

I am a native Utican and daily read the online version of the Observer-Dispatch because still I care about the goings on of my childhood community and many of my relatives and friends remain in the Utica area. My prayers are with the Family Geary. I, too, hail from a military family from World War One (father and uncles) to Vietnam (cousins) to peace time (brother, nephew) and the current wars on foreign lands (nephew and his friend). Lance Cpl Geary did not die in vain as the United States military remains the world's last, best hope to free oppressed peoples from tyranny, eliminate the awfulness war exacts on weaker nations, and now focus on the new and real threat -- devilish terrorists who live another day only to plot and scheme to murder innocent, law-abiding people everywhere. Someday far in the future people in Afghanistan and Iraq will live in safety and know true peace and realize that America's soldiers, such as Lance Cpl. Geary, started the path towards a better life for them. Eternal thanks and gratitude to the Family Geary for nurturing your son Daniel to not shy away from life's inevitable challenges by getting involved in bettering humanity as a human being and who chose to answer the call and responsibility to courageously change the world as a U.S. Marine. The ultimate sacrifice Lance Cpl. Geary gave shall never be lost on his fellow comrades, fellow U.S. citizens, and fellow brothers and sisters on foreign soil. God bless the Family Geary.

Yesterday, I had privilege of accompanying Ms. Dale Hughes, who played TAPS for Corporal Geary during the Military Honors at the graveside services for Corporal Geary.

Also know that Daniel is with Him, and is being held in His arms. He is safe and comforted, just as we all will be in the days to come.
Though you do not know me, I would like you to know it was an "Honor" to be there yesterday to bid farewell to a brother and comrade in arms in such a dignified way.

As i read more about this young man, sorrow overcomes me. The greatness that is unknown to the people that just think of a "Marine". The heroisim that he showed durring the younger years of his life defined his choice to become a Marine. God decided to give this young man the greatest gift, a true concern for the lives of others over his own. That made his choice to become a marine the perfect fit.
As many of our soldiers go off to fight. We see people opposing the fight.that is their right. This is what we are there for. To give these oppressed people the chance to have these same FREEDOMS that we do.Your free to recon heaven now Lcpl Geary.Know that your family and loved ones will be looked after by your military family, and all that served before. If anything is ever needed you will know that it will be done. You are a TRUE HERO that may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

An Air Force Prayer for a Marine Hero
Dear Lord, maker of heavens above

hear our prayer
for the men and women
of the United States Air Force
(And our fellow brother's in-arms)
as they answer
their Country's call
to serve, defend, and protect
all we hold dear.
Accept their sacrifices
of time, energy, effort, blood, life.
In times of peace
and in times of strife
be with them and with their
families, loved ones
who they want to be with
but must leave ...
our Nation to serve and defend.
Give them hope, peace,
joy without end,
and bless America
