Mr. Collins served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant.
He was employed as the manager of the McCullough Group Home.
An active member of civic groups in Methuen, Mr. Collins was a member of the Methuen Council # 4027 Knights of Columbus, and a past president of the Methuen Boosters. Mr. Collins was also known as "the voice of Methuen Rangers," serving as the public-address announcer at many of the high school's sporting events. He also volunteered as a coach in Methuen youth basketball.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jayme and her husband James Kaisi, and Kristine and her husband Randall Smith; a son, Brian W. and his fiancŽe Theresa Journeau; three sisters, Sandra Zankowski, Deborah Roscoe, and Donna Woodruff; a brother, William Collins; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

I lived near Bob growing up, and graduated with him at Dracut High He has never gone to the reunions, but I never will forget him. He was a wonderful person. My sympathy to his family.

Many years ago Bob took me to the dog races when I was a kid. Another time he took me to a ballgame at Fenway Park. I'll remember you Bob!

I worked under Bob @McCulloch group Home and I can't begin to tell you all of the wonderful stories about him. he is going to be greatly missed and this is a very big loss to both his family and friends.
