Doris Dornblaser Obituary
Doris Mae Dornblaser, 78, of Allentown, formerly of Catasauqua, died Monday, July 28, 2008, in Luther Crest Retirement Community, Allentown. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Elwood P. and Grace I. (Kleppinger) Smith. Doris worked for many years for Catasauqua School District as the school nurse before retiring in 1992. Previously, she was the head of nursing at the former Northampton Hospital. She was a graduate of Catasauqua High School and Allentown School of Nursing. Doris was instrumental in starting the Catasauqua Thrift Shop. Survivors: Sons, Scott of Bethlehem, Eric and his wife Joan of Hellertown; daughter, Beth Falcone and her husband Keith of Catasauqua; brother, Louis; sisters June, Shirley, Hope; five grandchildren, a great-grandson. Services: Memorial, 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. www.brubakerfuneralhome.com. Our deepest sympathy to the family of Doris Dornblaser. I worked with her at Sheckler School in Catty ~ she was the school nurse and I worked in the business office. She was also in my class at Catty High School.
