We just wanted to let you know that you are all in our hearts. We posted on the 20th, but it did not make it into your Legacy book. Our previous message was a poem that said the Angels are telling the grieving parents that God is taking good care of their children in heaven. We love you all and God Bless!

Dear Nathan, Grandma & Grandpa were in the Desert on May 20th.We were so close to you. Jesus loved the Desert as We know you did.While there I read a book about a Pastors Son who went to Heaven for just a few minutes and he said that indeed there were Pearly gates. He saw and talked to his Grandfather and sat with Jesus. He said that there was no pain and that Jesus will reunite us and we will all be together in Paradise one day. So you see, the Bible is right. Till then we will have to wait and remember you as you were. We love and miss you so much, Grandma & Grandpa Eakin

Today we remember Nathan and all he brought to the world. He brought love, happiness, joy, and his loving for mankind and animals. He is missed by us all, but we know he is a good place and we all will be together again. God Bless Nathan, Lee and Patie!

Dear Nathan,
Another Thanksgiving is upon us. We truly give thanks to God for bringing you to us. You were, and you are a blessing to everyone you touched. We look forward to seeing you again in heaven. About a week ago on TV, Dr. Maria Gabriela Corral said that we need to remember our loved ones with Love and Peace because they are more alive than ever and they see us and they suffer when they see us suffer. They have a new mission and they are close to us. So this is a very, very hard thing to do but we want to tell you Nathan that we Love you and we want you to be happy in your new mission.

Dear Nathan, I was on vacation so I didn't get to write here on your two year aniversary. I was in cali and visited Lincoln and thought of you as I passed by rooms we had classes together. Places where we laughed together. I pictured all the memories we had together and thought how easy life was then. I miss you so much. You will always be a part of my life.

Dear Lee and Patie,
Tomorrow will be two years since the world lost Nathan. I always think of Nathan when I hear or read this famous quote by B.J. Palmer, "We never know how far reaching something we may think, say, or do today will effect the lives of millions tomorrow." Nathan thought, said and did so many good things that those actions affected so many of us in such a POSITIVE way. Whenever I think of my memories of Nathan, he was always so positive and encouraging. I don't always understand why God does what he does, but I'm sure it was for a reason, maybe to make us all better people here on earth. We will be reunited one day with Nathan and I am so looking forward to that day. God Bless you Nathan, Lee and Patie.

Dear Lee and family, today I learned the sad news about your Nathan, and I am heart broken. What a wonderful person. I will remember his gentle and kind nature, his wonderful smile, his warmth. For those who knew & loved Nathan,
I didn't know Nathan personally and it seems his life has ended too soon. However short a time with us, from everything I've heard from Patricia he lived life to it's fullest extent. When something tragic like this happens its those of us left behind that cannot understand why. The blessing is the time we did have and the memories that will last in our hearts forever. I can honestly say I have never heard of a more close relationship between a mother & son as theirs. Patricia & Lee you must be proud of the wonderful son you were blessed with and take pride in the role you played in making him the man he was. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. Patricia just know that I am there if you need a shoulder.

You were one of the most special people I have ever had in my life. You were there for me through thick & thin. I used to call you my rental husband. I love you with all my heart and soul. I am so saddened to hear about your devestating loss of your beloved son, Nathan. He was an amazing young man and someone who I know you had and will continue to have a special bond with. His spirit will live on through you and your memories of him. His kind-hearted, intelligent,quiet, and sweet nature are all indications that he was raised by a wonderful mother & father. Patricia, I just wanted to let you know that you and the rest of Nathan's family are in my thoughts and prayers, Nathan was a very kind person, such a good son to you. I am so glad you talked to me about him so much, because when I think of him I remember all the stories you told of him. And I will always remember when we all went to the Zoo and how much he enjoyed my kids, he was so nice to them, and my oldest son still remembers him as being "the tall nice guy Nathan" Please let me know if you need anything at all, and remember Nathan will always be loved. Dear Patricia
Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel about your son Nathan's death. Patricia you and Nathan have shared many wonderful memories.I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. Big Nate, Man I can't believe this? You and I were bestfriends junior and senior year of high school. We spent everyday together. From hangin out on 'the stoop" to ridin round town in the accord. I can not express enough how much Nathan meant to me. I graduated with him from Lincoln HS. and have maintained a close friendship over the many years. My heart goes out to all those that loved him as much if not more than I did. I have no words... I am so sorry.

Nathan was a talented, kind, sweet and compassionate human being. Although we did not know him as well as we would have liked, we were blessed by the time we had with him. Although we don't always understand why, God has a plan for all of our lives, and he decided to take Nathan now. We rest assured that Nathan is now in heaven with his Grandma June and other family members and is very happy and in a better place. May God comfort Lee, Patie, Dr. Roy Eakin, Roberta, and all other family members at this time. God Bless you Nathan! We love you very much!

Dear Lee and all the Eakin family:
Words cannot express how very sorry I am for your loss. I can think of only a handful of times I talked to Lee that we didn't discuss Nathan. Every time we discussed Nathan, Lee told me how much he was enjoying his life and the list of accomplishments Nathan had either just completed or was working toward at the moment and of course with so much pride. I loved being on the phone with Lee and having Nathan quip in the tip or latest blurb on the subject, he obviously brought so much joy. I am here for you in this very difficult time and so many people are praying for you and your comfort so that we can celebrate our Nathan’s beautiful life albeit ever so brief. There wasn't a kinder, sweeter human being on this earth, than Nathan Eakin. Maybe he was just too wonderful, too good, and God needed him more. God only knows, we need more people like him.
