Born: April 24, 1939 in Houston, TX. Deceased: March 13, 2021 in San Jose, CA. Preceded in death by parents, Guadalupe and Marcella Marin, brothers: Guadalupe Jr, Gilbert, and Romero Marin, a son: Carlos Vargas, and 2 grandsons. Leaves behind wife of 32 years, Rachel B. Marin, son, Phillip Marin Jr. -Houston, TX, daughters Valerie, April, Julie, Marcella, Jane, Scarlett, and Dawn; all from San Jose, 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Phillip started pursuing his passion later in life than most. He began his career as a barber in his own barber shop- "Phil's Barbershop". After 20 years he retired, and was stricken with cancer the following year. He succumbed 2 years later drawing his last breath surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren who filled his last moments with love, prayers and permission to go and meet Jesus.
