Herbert Wagner Obituary

HUDSON Herbert Pop Wagner, 78, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at Marlborough Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Constance Connie (Allonby) Wagner, who died in 2004. He was born in Arlington, son of the late Burpie H. and Winifred (Hofmann) Wagner. He was raised in Somerville, attending local schools and was a graduate of Somerville Vocational High School. He was a finish carpenter by trade for many years, until his retirement. He has resided in Hudson since 1966 and was a member of the Framingham Minutemen. He is survived by his seven children, Douglas Wagner of Oxford, Edward Wagner of Hudson, Dale Publicover of Alton Bay, N.H., Barbara Hartley of Norwich, Conn., Christine Ganoe of Rindge, N.H., Brenda Karlson of Hudson and Dawn Wagner of Shrewsbury. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A private funeral service celebrating his life was attended by family and friends at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St. Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial followed in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
