John Park Obituary

FRAMINGHAM John Jack Henry Park, 72, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late John H. and Eleanor V. Nel (Mortimer) Park Sr. He was the former husband of Theresa (Ziobro) Park of Ashland. Mr. Park is a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1953, UMass Amherst, Clark University and received his masters degree from Framingham State College. He was a teacher for the Town of Holliston, where he taught english and science. He was also a photographer for Henrys Photo in Holliston for many years. Mr. Park was a member of the Hopkinton Senior Center. Mr. Park is survived by his daughters, Lorraine Park of Arizona, and Kelley Park Gittings and her husband, Eric, of Medway. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Joshua, Tricia-Lin and Rachel Gittings, all of Medway and Isaiah and Christopher Strong, both of Arizona. At the familys request there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norton Funeral Home (www.nortonfuneralhome.com), 53 Beech St., (corner of Union Ave.), Framingham. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th St. N.W., P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180.

There will never be another "Parksy"! As crazy as he was good. Rest in peace, Jack! We had a few debates along the way but you also made us laugh a lot. We shared many fun times and we will miss you !
