Kathleen Montgomery Obituary

ASHLAND Kathleen (Kay) D. Montgomery, 91, of Ashland, formerly of Medway, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008. She was the wife of C. Robert Montgomery, who passed in 1999. Kay was involved in many church choirs in which she sang for more than 75 years. She was the treasured mother of Barbara Rogers and Kathie Montgomery. She was the devoted grandmother, Grana, to Stephen Rogers and his wife, Christine, Nancy Polny and her husband, Mark, Jeffrey Rogers and his wife, Jennifer, Susie Montalbano and her husband, Stephen, and Jon Rogers and his wife, Ellie. She was the beloved great-grandmother to Nick, Andrew, Jessica, Joey, Kayla, Ashley, Brian, Kevin and Analise; and the loving sister of Winifred Shaw and her husband, Frank; brother-in-law, James Barnes and sister-in-law, Jane Montgomery; as well as 13 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m., at the Pilgrim Church of Sherborn. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston (www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory to Pilgrim Church, 25 S. Main St., Sherborn, MA 01770.
