Dearest Professor Roy, I am sooo sorry to hear of our loss. It wasn't too long ago I was telling a story of how you wielded your red pen and made me not only a better writer, but a stronger person. I use red myself sometimes, just in hopes of having a similar effect upon my students (I know your smiling at that...I can almost hear you laughing). I will miss just knowing you aren't there to grace the halls of the Geology Department or sitting at your desk in your office, surrounded by pictures of your family, and recounting some of the best stories a father and husband could ever tell a student, further enhancing our education in life and not just geology.

May you rest in peace....

Alisa

Mr. Roy,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
