Josefini Byrnes Obituary

MARLBOROUGH Josefini (Schiessl) Byrnes, 82, of Marlborough, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at her sisters home in Framingham, after a long illness. Her husband, Edward Byrnes, died in 1995. She was born in Gauting, Germany, the daughter of the late Josef and Maria (Brummet) Schiessl, and moved to Massachusetts in 1957. Josefini had worked for several years in Germany as a photographers assistant, prior to coming to the United States. She leaves her loving and devoted sister, Elisabeth Sellers and her husband, Odell, of Framingham; a nephew, Steven C. Sellers of Framingham; a niece, Dianne C. McGowan of Medway; and a grandnephew, Thomas McGowan of Medway. Her son, Paul J. Byrnes of Marlborough, died last December. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 20, at 9 a.m., in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street. A calling time will be held prior to the funeral Mass, from 8 to 8:30 a.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josefinis memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 480 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, MA 02451.

She was a wonderful, tolerant, woman, who handled alot over the years. She is together now with Paul and Ed, God Bless all of you!!!!
