Josephine Brown Obituary

WHITINSVILLE Josephine N. (Arcudi) Brown, 81, of Whitinsville, formerly of Milford, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Northbridge. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Vasile) Arcudi, and lived in Milford most of her life, before moving to Whitinsville. She was educated in the Milford schools. She retired in 1989 from the Fenwal Corp. in Ashland, where she was employed as an assembler. She is survived by four sons, Henry Buster Brown of Newport, R.I., Ronald Brown of Hopedale, David Brown of Leesburg Fla., and Thomas Brown of Milford; one daughter, Jeannette Thomas of Milford; two brothers, Arthur Arcudi and Joseph Arcudi Jr., both of Milford; three sisters, Antoinette Pilla, Rose Pearl and Carmella Fernandes, all of Milford; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her devoted partner, James Deveney, of Whitinsville, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Gary Chatter Brown; one brother, Dominic Jackie Arcudi, and four sisters, Theresa Bertone, Anita Anderson, Dorothy Malisz and Ann Leoncini. A funeral home service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 9 a.m., in the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St. Burial will follow in the Vernon Grove Cemetery on Depot Street.
