Karop Dirazonian Obituary

NORTHBRIDGE Karop "Kaydo" Dirazonian Sr., 75, of Northbridge, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at home, surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 49 years, M. Louise (Officer) Dirazonian. Mr. Dirazonian was born in Springfield, son of the late Simon and Sirma (Maghdesian) Dirazonian, and moved to Milford, and spent the last years of his life in Northbridge. He was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1951. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Dirazonian was a builder and developer of many fine homes throughout the region. He loved the game of golf and was a member of various local leagues. He also enjoyed spending his retirement with his children and grandchildren, often at the golf course. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dirazonian is survived by his sister, Miss Mary Dirazonian of Milford; two sons, Simon Dirazonian II and his wife, Pamela, of Milford and Karop Dirazonian Jr. and his wife, Crystal, of Mendon; two daughters, Cynthia Phillips and her husband, Stephen, of Milford and Amy Marie Dirazonian of Upton. He also leaves his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Patricia Dooms of Virginia; his grandchildren, Jesse and Zachariah Dirazonian of Mendon, Sarah Mansfield of Rhode Island, Steven Mansfield of Milford, Emily Phillips of Milford, Jonathan Zicolella of Milford, Alexandra Zicolella of Upton and Ani Sirma Dirazonian of Milford; and his great-grandchild, Kaley Dirazonian of Mendon. The funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 9 a.m., from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., in Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress St., Milford.
