I knew Shirley for many years when she worked for Dr. Piscia. My deepest sympathy to the family in their loss of such a special person.

It was many years living next to G-Grammy before we learned her first name, even then she was always G-Grammy to us. Grammy welcomed us to the neighborhood and brought us into her family just as we were one of her own. So many years went by, some of my favorite times was spent walking over to talk to Grammy about the skunk, or some odd animal she had living under the shed. My son and I never miss a Halloween with out stopping at Grammy’s, the lights were out, but I knew I would get a call the next day if Timmy did not stop to see his Grammy to show her what he was wearing! The news of Grammy’s passing reached us here in South Korea by instant message and I had a hard time believing it. Grammy you will truly be missed by Timmy, Lizzie, Kwiye and myself, we love you!

As a little kid, I always thought it was really cool that my neighbors had this sauna in the back of their house and would come out and jump in the snow to cool down. It was really neat.
As an adult, I was thankful for this neighbor who had become a good friend to my Mom and helped her get through the loss of my Dad.
My deepest condolences to a good friend and neighbor. Thank you for all that you have done Mrs. Nixon

Thanks to my Gram for teaching me to crochet and cross-stitch --she found comfort and great joy in doing hand-work and I do also and I will as I continue to remember my dear grandmother, who also was the first one to teach me her favorite prayer, which is also my favorite prayer - God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can , and the Wisdom to know the Difference. We love you , Terry & Jon & Joanna & Aarikka & Peaches
