Susan Peterson Obituary

FRANKLIN Susan J. Peterson, 60, of Franklin, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. Born in February, 1948, in Boston, a daughter of the late Walter and Hertha E. (Michelberger) Peterson, she was raised and educated Boston and lived in Roslindale for many years, and then moved Medway, before settling in Franklin in 2001. She worked for many years for Universal Technical Institute in Norwood as a resource specialist. Her interests included knitting, camping, canoeing, watching movies, and Formula One racing. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Kurt N. Mistler of Worcester; a daughter, Rachel D. Martini of Blackstone, and her grandchildren, Emily M. Martini, Stephen D. Martini, Samantha G. Martini, Nicholas W. Mistler, and Kathryn S. Martini. She was the former wife of Allan R. Mistler of New Hampshire. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at 2 p.m., in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin (www.franklinfuneral.com). Pastor Ann Burgdorf of Worcester will officiate. Interment will be private. Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service. If desired, donations in her memory sent to Universal Technical Institute, 1 Upland Road, Building 200, Norwood, MA 02062, would be appreciated.
