MEDWAY Marcia Eileen (O'Hearn) Brown, 77, of Medway, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Medway Country Manor Nursing Home. Born in Cambridge, Nov. 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Francis A. and Katherine M. (Donovan) O'Hearn. Mrs. Brown was a resident of Medway for the past three years, and previously resided in North Billerica and Bedford. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1948, and attended Catherine Gibbs secretarial school and Framingham State Teachers College. Mrs. Brown had worked for the town of Lexington's elder daycare program for many years. She did secretarial work for a temp agency, worked in medical related manufacturing for Millipore Corp. and Fisons Pharmaceutical, which are both in Bedford, and worked at Northeastern University Deans office in Boston. She also worked at various retail stores, was instrumental in founding the Sundance Youth Group in Bedford and was a devoted mother. Mrs. Brown enjoyed attending powwows and other various activities within the Native-American community in Charlemont, and enjoyed singing in the choir for St. Anne Episcopal Church in North Billerica. She was an avid reader and loved to knit. She is survived by her children, Russell W. Brown and his wife, Becky, of Denham Springs, La., Kathryn L. Brown of Medway, Carl F. Brown and his wife, Kelly, of Jackson, Wyo., and Teresa B. Proctor and her husband, Michael, of Medway. She is also survived by four grandsons, Travis and Lucas Brown and Douglas and Thomas Proctor; three stepgrandchildren; Madison, Mason and Marley Blankenship; her former husband, the Rev. Richard B. Brown III of Medway; two nieces and three nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis D. O'Hearn, her sister, Anne O'Hearn, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy (McMahon) Brown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m., at Christ Episcopal Church, 14 School St., Medway, with a reception immediately following in the church hall. www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 3 Barber St., Medway, from 2 to 5 p.m. Interment will take place in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004.
