Louisa A. Benoit

BLACKSTONE Mrs. Louisa A. (Murphy) Benoit, 76, of Blackstone, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, 2008, at her residence, after an illness. She was the wife of Ronald N. Benoit Sr. Along with her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her sons, Stephen P. Benoit of Uxbridge, Ronald N. Benoit Jr. of Plainfield, Conn.; her daughters, Denise L. Benjamin of Millville, Cheryl A. Bell of Andover, Deborah L. Ruth of Whitinsville, Paula Simonsen of Blackstone and Sandra Lariviere of Pascoag, R.I; her 10 grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Murphy Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Milford; one sister, Mrs. Marilyn Dupree of Milford; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rosemary Murphy, who died in 1997. Her funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, at 9 a.m., from Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St., Milford (www.edwardsmemorialfuneralhome.com) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter St., Milford. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Milford. Visiting hours will be Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
