Catherine Lombard Obituary

MILFORD Catherine A. (Carney) Lombard, 88, of Milford, formerly of Framingham and Charlestown, died suddenly, Sunday, Nov. 23, at her residence. She was the widow of the late John P. Lombard, who died in 2000. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary F. (Crowley) Carney, and resided in Milford since 2001. Mrs. Lombard was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Charlestown. She loved to travel with her late husband, and was an avid reader. She leaves two daughters, Mary Frances Lombard of Littleton, and Mrs. Joseph (Martha J.) King of Milford; one brother, John G. Carney of Winthrop; two grandchildren, Kathleen Sicard of Littleton, and Sean King of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will take place Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 9 a.m., from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home (www.edwards memorialfuneralhome.com), 44 Congress St., Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter St., Milford. Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Edgell Road, Framingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday, Nov. 25, 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Inc., Massachusetts Affiliate, P.O. Box 845037, Boston, MA 02284.
