Anthony Fischer Obituary

FRAMINGHAM Anthony Tony "Sonny" Fischer, 83, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at the St. Patrick's Manor Nursing Home in Framingham after a two and a half-year residency. He was the husband of Esperia "Anna" (Martignetti) Fischer, who died in May of 2004. Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Generasio and Florence (Bruschette) Fischer. Anthony was a resident of Framingham since 1959 and was retired from General Electric, where he worked for more than 40 years. He was a graduate of East Boston High School and attended business school. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army, and was a member of the D.A.V. His greatest joy was for his family and all the grandchildren he loved. He is survived by one son, Thomas Fischer of Milford; two daughters, Florence Moran and her husband, Jeffrey, of Medway, Sylvia Newell and her husband, Michael, of Medway; seven loving grandchildren, Ryan and Kasey Moran, Mikaela and Sean Newell, and Carly, Derek and Jesse Fischer; also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marian Cardullo and Vincent Fischer. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 9:30 a.m., at the Holy Family Chapel at St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham. One visiting hour will be on Wednesday, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., prior to the Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham. Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick's Manor NursingHome, 863 Central St., Framingham, MA 01701. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Eugene J. Mr. Fischer,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
