What can you say, Harold was one of a kind. Brave, trustworthy, loyal, dedicated family man, how can we not all strive to be like him in our everyday lives. I did not know Harold well before 1999, though I knew of him, and the few times that I would drive his cousin Ken Wood over to see him in Hopedale. I knew his brother Willard the best, two of the greatest men anyone could become friends with. Harold would visit the Hopedale firehouse nearly daily in his later years. If he didn't see the US flag up on the pole he would demand it be raised. If he saw a tatter in it he would donate a new one. God rest his soul.

I have fond memories of Harold, while I worked at Draper Place. Harold was a true gentleman and always had a smile and a handshake for everyone. Harold was a kind, sweet man. Thanks for all your kindness to me. Love, Terry

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF HAROLD. HE WAS A GREAT FRIEND TO BOB, AND ME. I REMEMBER ALL THE FUN WE USED TO HAVE AT THE CANAL. HE LOVED FISHING. HE SLIPPED AND FELL ON THE ROCKS, AND I RAN DOWN TO HELP HIM. HE WAS ALMOST IN THE WATER. WHEN WE BOTH REALIZED I COULDN'T SWIM. WE BOTH LAUGHED. I THINK HE LIVED LONGER THAN ANY FAMILY MEMBER OF HIS. I ALSO REMEMBER HIS WIFE. WHAT A LOVELY LADY SHE WAS. THEY ARE NOW TOGETHER, ONCE AGAIN. GOD BLESS THEM BOTH. ALL OUR LOVE, JANICE, BOB.
